We hired Jonathan ***** of Ambar build in July of 2020 to renovate our recently purchased home. The contract stated 85 days to complete. All though we had a number of change orders he did not complete the job until late February of 2021. We had rented a separate place so he could "Expedite" the job. which cost us a fortune since he took so long. The work that was done was completely inferior. We had to have him back over and over again. He subs were complete slobs. Cleaning their spackle and paint tools in my yard destroying hundreds of dollars of landscaping. It is now six months later and it is still on shrubs and grass. He put our washer dryer in the house and the opening was too small to open the detergent draw and the pedestals'. He said he would fix and never did. We had to hire another contractor to widen the opening and put new doors on. He did not put wax seals on the toilets which eventually leaked and we had to have that replaced. The ceiling started to come down after a few months. The bath tub he installed was damaged when installing and he painted over it which came to light after months of showering. There is a list of other things of his inferior work which should have been covered in his 1 year guarantee in his contract. We tried calling, texting and emailing which he never responded to. We even hired a lawyer and sent him a demand letter and got no response. Do your selves a favor DO NOT use him or his subs. They are incompetent, slobs, non professional and inconsiderate. The house and garage was so dirty it took us 3 weeks to have it professionally cleaned after he "cleaned" it. He was to install a 10 ft slider which he never did. Promised to power wash the house again not done. Beware. DO NOT use him!!
