We were introduced to Mike of Amber Sunset Pool Service and Repair by a trusted friend and talented pool service owner. Mike has made a night and day difference in our inground pool and above-ground jacuzzi. Our water is now crystal clear - the sides and pool floor are spotless. We had previously experienced a chronic problem with algae and the pool water looking hazy. An employee of a previous pool service was not so consistent about thoroughly servicing our pool. We were having to scrub our pool's sides and remove leaves even after his weekly service date. We no longer have this problem since Mike took over, and no longer have participate in cleaning our pool ourselves.
On top of that, Mike spoke with our Home Warranty's pool technician regarding an expensive repair with our pool heater. He analyzed and thoroughly explained the issues and our options. Because Covid has taken us out of business for the last year, we decided we had to go through our home warranty's pool repair. We really wanted Mike to fix it and get paid for his efforts, but money is tight.
Knowing he was not going to make any money for this repair, Mike still helped. He texted over the information to me to give to the warranty company. He also explained my options and what to be aware of for future repairs.
I texted over the Mike's information to the warranty's pool repair company which they must have lost. They ended up calling Mike directly without my permission (pool technician had written down the wrong number for me) so poor Mike had to explain everything again for a THIRD TIME in the middle of his busy work day.
I was upset that the warranty's repair company bothered Mike again. Had a talk with them, and they even commented how rare it was that another pool company would be willing to help another company. They also were amazed that he was so professional and nice about being so inconvenienced.
I apologized to Mike too via text. He replied to my amazement was "no problem" and "that he was glad he could help get my insurance to cover it." I call that going above and beyond, rare patience and exemplary customer service.
We have had pools and pool service for 30 years. Mike is going on our all-star top of the list of all services, pool or otherwise. Hire him. You won't regret it.
