Ambassador of their Company named SAL, came out to give a 2nd opinion of a condenser coil leak made earlier in the day May 30, 2024. A small leak was discovered and Del Air added 4 lbs freon. I called America Heat and Air after. The system was working great. SAL, from America Heat and Air comes in after a quick "inspection" and tells my wife, my 88 year old mother, my 8 month pregnant daughter and my 3 year old granddaughter the system is broken, there is no freon and gave us a quote for $14,500 for new system. He also told my wife he had to speak to me because she "wouldn't be able to understand" the quote. I work away from the home and my wife is more than qualified to make a decision. BOTTOM LINE. The system worked great when he came and WAS NOT WORKING, when he left.
I called a AC qualified family friend a hour later. He came to the house and showed my wife the system was unplugged and there was plenty of freon. We were lied to by SAL,
My wife and the women of my family were disrespected, left with a shut off unit and told it would cost $14,500 to cool them off. This company claims to follow THE GOLDEN RULE. Instead they sabotaged a functioning system, then attempted to rip us off
