American Array Solar and Roofing

The roof on my mobile home was replaced in 2 days; first day to remove old shingles and second day to install new roof. The installers were respectful and competent. I’m very pleased with everything.

I highly recommend American Array Solar. They did the install for my photovoltaic system and also upgrade the main service panel. The process went smoothly with much of the time spent on waiting for permits and inspection from the city and PGE, all of which American Array handled. Communication was always prompt, via email, text, or phone. I had surveyed 7-8 companies in total, and American Array provided one of the most competitive quotes, and the lowest for a local installer. There were no gotchas or hidden fees. Finally, I didn't notice any leaks in the roof particularly with the recent torrential rainfall.

I started my solar search through EnergySage and American Array was one of the lowest cost bidders initially. The use the panels and invertors I was hoping for, so I proceeded to get a real quote for them based upon actual usage. The sales stage with Keirnan was great, he was responsive and took the time to answer all of our questions. We moved forward into the design phase with Sam, who was great in rearranging a few panels to make sure the house would still look good from the street. The installers were another team who were also very friendly and efficient. They did leave some slight damage to our roof which was repaired at the time of solar panel inspection. We did have to wait 6-7 weeks for our city inspection to make it out to us, this was the longest portion of the wait time and out of American Array's control. After inspection, we passed and the system was turned on. it was inspected again by American Array and hooked into the monitoring app. We don't know yet how it will all work with PG&E, but hopefully our planning will all be worth it! Working with this vendor as good!

Making a decision on a contractor for a solar power installation is not an easy or comfortable decision given the investment involved and the relative unfamiliarity of the technology for most people. I used EnergySage to give me a number of quotes, all of which were from non-local companies, but it did give a comparison of pricing and equipment, so it was easy to eliminate those which were expensive or offering panels from less well known equipment manufacturers. I settled on American Array Solar and Roofing who offered Panasonic panels and Enphase inverters at a reasonable installation cost. I assumed there would be snags or hidden costs and I would need to have quotes from other companies but the process that American Array offered was simple, fast and efficient. When I needed some options, the costs were defined upfront and never changed at any time so in the end, there was just no need to try other companies. Communications with Kieran, Adam and Mary were very friendly and efficient. They were always fast in responding to questions. Installation was done very effectively and faster than anticipated. My original target installation date was given as July 18th but it was completed on June 28th. For the service, product and cost that they offer, I would not hesitate to recommend American Array Solar and Roofing.

I received an offer through American Array (AA) through Energy Sage, along with several other offers. After evaluating the offers and working on a couple designs, I committed to AA. Danny was very helpful with the initial explanation of the process, design and financing options and then Adam took over on most of the remainder of the process. He worked great with us on design and provided several options for the layout. Once the layout was finalized, the process went really quickly. The county permit was issued in two business days and the entire system was installed three days after the permit was approved. Final inspection was scheduled about two days after installation. It was very quick and the system has been working well. Today I received approval from PG&E and they have officially allowed the system to operate. I can't say enough about how well the team at AA worked to get everything completed and answered all of my questions along the way. Thanks to Mary, Lorena and Veena as well.

They were very responsive from the first day till the end and they also completely took care of the approvals from the city and my energy provider. I am extremely satisfied and happy I choose American Solar Array. I was skeptical and worried about purchasing something as expensive as solar, but it turned out better than expected. I got 370 Panasonic panels with Enphase Micro-inverters for thousands less than other bids that used lesser quality equipment. Adam seemed to lead the whole project. He was helpful, responsive and effective. I asked to change the design of the panels after the design process, and he did it immediately without push back. Fernando, the electrician/installer and his crew were fantastic. Fernando explained anything I asked and was completely customer focused. His team was neat and efficient, and the job looks perfect. I am so relieved and impressed with their professionalism. Make sure you try to get Fernando and his team as the installers.

Awesome solar companies. Everything is transparent. We even got a mini education/tutorial on solar panels during our first phone calls. We learned more on the technical side on solar panels and associated devices. The price is very reasonably, we were quoted on a clear list of things. Unlike some other companies, we get a quote but didn't tell us exactly what get installed. Once they got the permit, the install was quick just lasted a few days. We signed the contract mid Dec and we are enjoying our solar on Jan 8th. Definitely recommend!

I found American Array searching online and I was surprised how their quote for a 4kw solar system was already a much better deal compared to everything I had received. Then they brought a great financing option and executed the project really fast and with high efficiency and quality. My experience was great and therefore recommend American Array.

The team at American Array Solar gets a big thumbs up from me. The came in ahead of schedule and did not charge for anything that was not needed. They gave me an upfront worse case cost and it came down from there once they did their due diligence audit. I highly recommend this company. Everyone was nice, knowledgeable and very helpful.

We successfully used EnergySage to get broad range of quotes for our solar install completed May 2021 in Moraga CA. I had shortlisted Solar Optima and American Array Solar as they both had teams that were local and did not use contractors.

One of the key reasons I selected American Array is I consistently spoke with the same person from the first quote until the signing of the contract. Julene was incredibly prompt on every question I asked and never pushy. I docusigned on April 7th and paid the final invoice May 14.

Post signing there was continuous communication on the process, design and submitting the permits. I read reviews on many companies with a lot of drama which I am sure in cases was warranted. Our install with American Array was zero drama and it was incredibly easy.

The install took a day, and the installers were all great, down to earth people and happy to talk me through how the technology worked. They were very organized and set up tables with all their supplies as a production line and that gave me even more confidence, they know their craft. They did not leave any trace they were here other than the panels on the roof.

It’s a big decision and if you are like me and have read the horror stories you worry. I would recommend American Array to my closest friends.

It is wonderful experience working with Adam and Lorenam. We need to replace a couple of fascia boards on roof and install Solar Panels afterwards. American Array Solar has amazing teams. The entire process worked smoothly. Adam and Lorenam have taken care of every details on scheduling, design, permit and software monitoring. Technicians did great job on installation thus inspection passed immediately. The price is very competitive. We now have Solar Panel provide electricity to the house for clean air and life time saving on electricity bill. Details: American Array Solar installed 17 Panasonic photo-voltaic panels and Enphase equipment on my home. I found them through EnergySage, which provided me with 7 quotes from different vendors. After getting preliminary information through EnergySage website, anonymously, I contacted American to get more information and an updated quote based on my preferences. They quickly responded and provided me with a competitive quote and a near-term installation date. The contractual process and installation went very smoothly, and the panels are generating power within the quoted specifications. The installation passed the city building inspection, and I am awaiting PG&E permission to operate to be attached to their grid.

Our experience with American Array Solar has been fantastic. We had actually signed with a different company, but decided to go with American Array. They gave us a better product with a better warranty and at a much better price. However, what I am really impressed with is their customer service. Our original company told us we would have our system installed within six months. American Array did it in two months. We did have an issue with one of our panels. I noticed that it had stopped producing electricity. I called Adam from Solar Array, and he had a technician to our house in three days. The panel could not be repaired, and they replaced it right away. No hassle at all. I made one phone call and it was fixed. I was very impressed. I highly recommend this company.

We were exceptionally pleased with the work they did. They were responsive, easy to deal with, and worked with a sense of urgency. They got our system installed in just one day! Everything works, and they exceeded our expectations (for instance, installing a wifi-extender at no extra charge.) They used the best available materials and still their prices were low by comparison to other companies, (I got 7 bids in total). All in all, a great experience from start to finish.

Very unprofessional company. Not very knowledgeable about solar past bolting onto your roof. Never call to make appointments, they just show up out of the blue. Try to act like they are a big company when they really have a handful of office staff and some subcontractors. Rarely did they deliver on promises and never without tons of effort on my part. Do yourself a favor and use someone else. I love solar and recommend it to everyone I know. Have had 4 friends install it since mine, I told them all to stay away from this place. Plus the pricing you get is really high, you could buy the materials needed and higher your own contractor for about half what they want. To top it off I couldn't even get a invoice showing parts and labor. If you want Home Depot parking lot quality work, with a bunch of hassles, coupled with low outputs, then this is the place for you.
