  Carport installarion

  Warning: Working with this company is worse than terrible. If you can handle LOST ORDERS, broken promises, downright lies, terrible customer service & a wait FIVE times longer than stated, the product is good quality. But trying to actually get the product is a nightmare.
  We ordered a carport in person at the Mt. Summit, Indiana office on 8/21/2020 with Sean. We were told the carport would be installed within 4 weeks. We were very clear that we needed it before snow started falling. After 7 weeks of no communication, we called to check the status on 10/7/2020. No one could even find record of our order. We emailed copies of our invoice and were promised a callback. After several hours of no call, we called back and were told our order had been lost and would need to be re-submitted. We were assured (again) that the carport would be delivered before heavy snow. On 10/15/2020, we received a call from scheduling that it would actually be 6-12 weeks for install. We expressed our concern about snowfall and were told that she was attempting to get us closer to the 6 week window for the end of November. On 12/5/2020 we called our salesman in Indiana and were told the carport was ready and instock, just wait for a call from Texas office. On 1/19/2021 we called the corporate office and was transferred to California. She told us to call the Indiana office or maybe Yadira at corporate. On 1/20/2021, we attempted to call both Yadira at corporate and the Mt Summit and could not reach anyone at either location. The phone number for Mt Summit, Indiana actually rang to an office in Pioneer, Ohio!
  Finally, after FIVE months of waiting and hearing NOTHING from anyone with this company, we managed to get a call back to have the carport delivered the week of 1/25/21. I told the scheduler that we could not do Monday & Tuesday, but those were the only days they would be in our area...so I cancelled all appointments & work for Monday, but made it expressly clear that I could not do Tuesday. On the day of install, I was told install would happen between 10am & 2pm. By 2:30pm, I had heard NOTHING and seen no one. I cancelled an important appointment, took a day off and put my life on hold for 4 hours waiting for the installer to show up. Finally at 2:38pm, I called the scheduler, Yadira, to let her know that I still do not have a carport and had heard nothing. She called the installer and called me back to let me know that the installer was behind schedule and would not be doing any more jobs today due to the weather. It did not start snowing/sleeting until after 1pm. Despite my clear indications that I could not accommodate a Tuesday install, I was told it would be installed on Tuesday and my schedule did not matter.
  During the install, I tried to pay the installer with my credit card as instructed by the scheduler, however the installer refused my card (I have surveillance video proof) and stated *direct quote* "I call lady & lady call you for money." I was given no contact info for "lady".
  Two weeks later, I received a phone message about my invoice. I attempted to return the call 10 minutes after receiving it, but was told the extension that was provided on the answering machine did not exist and when we figured out who I needed to speak with, she had already left. The next day I received a hostile message stating that I must call them back with the same nonexistant extension number. When I finally was connected to the correct person, I was accused of having an outstanding balance that should have been paid day of install. When I explained that the installer wouldn't accept my card, she replied that he would have given me contact info to call in my payment. When I stated his exact words and the fact that I had no contact info for "lady", she was speechless.
  The only positive in this whole situation was that install was quick (when it finally happened) and the quality is good. But those two positives do not come close to the headache and frustrations that this experience created. [And did not receive before snowfall!]

  My name is MIKE M from carlsbad NM i jus wanted to say that i was really impressed with George CERDA an his crew as to there speed an accuracy with there set up,lay out an as it was being put together so swiftly like a puzzle,, an as I Questioned a couple of concerns i had on the entrance an height for my lifted truck Mr CERDA quickly corrected an adjusted for my concerns,They picked up an cleaned up after them selves for the evening an finished up the next morning.GREAT JOB FELLOWS..I would highly recommend these guys to family or friends in my city

  Put up a carport

  We had a great experience with American Steel Carports. They came out and had our carport put up quickly and cleaned up after themselves. They were very efficient and knew what they were doing. Would highly recommend them to everyone.
