    Replace backyard Deck
    $3,486

    Kevin R. Campbell was hired September 2017 to build a backyard Deck. He charged me $3,486.00 completing only half promising to come back in the new year 2018. He never showed until I tracked him down the 2nd week of March 2019 on Facebook. I've had to hire at my expense two retired Builders with 40 years of Experience between them. They are redoing Kevin's shoddy workmanship.
    I did not realize prior to hiring Kevin who
    represented Home Advisor that he was issued a F rating with The Better Business
    Bureau of Pennsylvania.

    Kevin is an unprofessional, untrustworthy, & unreliable contractor. He did not complete the job which he was paid for promising to come back numerous times and never showing or calling to say he had to reschedule. The job would of taken 15 minutes he said but in the end he blocked our number and never put the end cap on and reseated the gutter he installed. It ruined our garden area from the rains and his work was part of a mortgage contingency, we are selling our home. In the end my husband had to take time off from his job to do the work we paid Kevin to do. Yes Kevin we have all the photos and texts and times you were supposed to show up. Our realtors have added you to their black list and we ourselves will never recommend you to anyone. If you are thinking about hiring Kevin and his crew just spend the little bit extra for quality work and professionalism from someone else because you won’t find it here. Such a disgrace.

    We had him do our siding, porch and gutters. We have had another contractor come and fix his work. He has never honored his guarantee of fixing, replacing or re-installing anything we were unhappy with. I was taken and i am angry. I was just told today that he has been sued a lot. He will get what is coming to him when karma takes a big bite out of his ass

    Gutter shutters installation

    In 2013 hired him to install Gutter Shutter. It got done, but he won't honor the lifetime no-clog warranty, and we think the section that gets clogged was installed on not quite right with the angle. We contacted him, or tried to, multiple times to honor the lifetime no-clog warranty and clean it and/or install an additional downspout, which he said he would do if we felt it was necessary, but we only got rude responses, blown off, or ignored. We contacted the Gutter Shutter head office, they only warranty the finish on the product for twenty years, the lifetime no-clog warranty is between you and the independent contractor, and if he dies, closes shop, or just doesn't want to deal with you, you're SOL. Stay away this contractor.

    black metal roof and porch extension

    NEGATIVE; Kevin is a NO show; no call. Installed a black metal roof and porch extension. Kevin started the project in November, 2016. It's NOT FINISHED. Problem with the roof shortly after installed; Called Kevin Campbell 5 daye straight. Answered the phone once Left messages and said he didn't know what to do since we live in Fairmont, WV. You drive here and fix the problem; that did not happen, so we had to hire another contractor to fix it. Sounded like a freight train coming through the house. Kevin has not been back to finished the job. NEVER pay most of the balance, because he has the money and we have an unfinished roof. Kevin, why can't you call? Your reviews are not good. Be a man and fix the problem The porch had concrete steps which you were contracted to remove not done. No hand railing and the slats are big enough for our grandkids to sit between. Any concern for safety? You need to contact me immediately..you have my phone number. Next is the BBB and attorney general will be contacted. Call Kevin to avoid this. I will never trust another contractor again. We signed a contract. Kevin contacted us through best windows, doesn't work there since November. Best windows honored our contract and Kevin used best winows to get business for his own business. Not ethical!! Kevin call me immediately to get our roof done. It was not cheap. Hope you can sleep at night knowing how you lied to us and others.

    Replace two exterior doors

    I really don't want to give Kevin Campbell any kind of star rating cause he doesn't deserve any.
    I wouldn't even let him repair a doll house or bird house.

    Approximately around 12/8/2015
    I first go to meet Kevin Campbell who was or maybe still is a sales rep. for Castle Windows. After settling the issue for new replacement windows. My wife and I questioned him about exterior doors His response was "Castle only does windows not doors and if they did doors they would be outrages price's". We asked him does he know anybody who can do exterior doors. that's when he mentioned he has his own business and he would give us an estimate to replace two doors at a good price. Because his intentions were to quite Castle Windows and to go back into his business full time.
    this is just a small list of complaints and damages.
    When he finally showed up to replace the doors

    Kitchen door (took them 2 days to install)
    1 He did not know how to remove the outside storm doors.
    (I watched him physically rip part of the storm door frame of the structure with his hands and a pry bar.) I still have the damaged frame that I had to order and replace which cost me $45.00 from Lowe's.
    2. After removing the old door and frame they never bothered to check to see if the opening was square and level, before installing the new pre-hung door.
    Installing the new door him and his helper add a 1x4 to the existing door opening on one sided to make the new door fit.
    3 when they removed the old door and frame with threshold they ripped the linoleum were the threshold was and left it like that.
    4 he picked up the wrong door and argued with my wife that it was the right one and that they don't make the door swing the other way. My wife pointed out the difference to him. He said he wood have to exchange the door for the right one and would have to come back the next day. My wife called me at work and told me that he had to take the door back to get the right door in the mean while that there would be no door in place for the night until he comes back.

    1 they took the storm door off slid it under the porch on top of rocks.
    2 when removing the door casing from the inside tore some of the paper of the dry wall.
    3 when they removed the old door and frame with threshold they ripped the linoleum were the threshold was and left it like that.
    4 Oh i forgot to mention when he took my old doors he did not take out the door handles he put the doors and hardware in his mini van. these door handles were keyed alike. i have one of them he has the other which he said he would return but never did.

    This is just the tip of the ice berg the complaints on his shabby work he did to my home.
    So If you value your lifetime investment DON'T HIRE THEM.

    He installed gutters, which had a "lifetime no clog warranty". When we later had an issue with one of the gutters, he first said he would take care of it, but then didn't call, didn't return calls, and when we finally got him on the phone again, he said he no longer did the gutters. The warranty is worthless. He is rude and unpleasant and will not honor a written contract.

    Beware of American Dream Home solutions & The Gutter Shutter Company owner Kevin Campell.
    I paid Kevin Campell a lot of money for a good Quality job. I would have had a better quality job from the kids in the neighborhood. I was told by Kevin’s crew. “Don’t worry how the job looks nobody going to see it but you and besides you can’t see it from the street.” When I complained to Kevin Campell he promised to redo the job and make it right. Kevin Campell set up 5 appointments with me to come fix it. Kevin never showed up and never called to say he wasn’t coming. I called Kevin on his office and cell phone over 75 times in six months and left messages for him to call me. He never called back. He has my money so he doesn’t have time for me.

    American Dream Home Solutions of Jersey Shore is without a doubt, the most poorly run business I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with.
    They arrived 3 weeks late, they arrived without all the materials they needed for a first class job, while here replacing my siding they broke my double pane window and tried to get away with replacing it with a single pane window. When I called them about the window, Floyd promised three times to take care of it on specific dates, I stayed home to three different no-shows, and when I called the owner and left a message, he called back and commenced screaming at me that he was on vacation???? Then he promised to rectify the situation himself, so I spent another day waiting for a no show.
    I am now going to lodge a complaint with the better business bureau, and if I still get no results, I will file a complaint with the Attourney General's office.
