    Purchased a Damar home. Paid 85k for catastrophic plumbing defects when home was 2 years old. Builder failed to get a plumbing insurance rider, and did not have a written agreement with plumbing contractor. No oversight of construction. Currently in litigation. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

    We recently hired American Environmental & Restoration through BuildZoom for a bathroom project that involved converting a large garden tub to a tiled walk-in shower and converting our small shower to a linen/storage closet. We were so pleased with the results! The quality of the work and meticulous attention to detail resulted in a beautifully tiled shower. The closet shelving was set up exactly as requested and we now have a wonderful closet with ample shelving and storage area. David Hyatt, Owner, and the individuals who work for him were happy to answer any questions we had and were quick to check with us regarding our preferences and to provide helpful suggestions as the project unfolded. Plus the pricing for the project was very reasonable, and the contract and billing were very clear with no surprises. Throughout the renovation, they worked closely with us to ensure our satisfaction, and I would recommend American Environmental & Restoration for any home renovation project without reservation.

    For some reason the park I live in uses Sewell. They are slow, takes forever to finish a job, leaves a sloppy mess. They repeatedly fish in our pond ignoring us when told it is for residents only. They did work in my house, scorched the walls, and work had to be redone.

    I have no recollection of their customer service. They roofed a house for us in 2003 before the three hurricanes and it did well. We no longer own the home but drove by and saw that it lost no shingles in Irma. We are looking at a new roof for a different home next year and will definitely be returning.

    My experience with this company was terrible. I would not let them repair my dog house and here is why.
    It goes back to June 2014 when a large tree fell on my Mom's house. This company was referred to us by the insurance company. They came out did there estimate and just about promised my mom the moon. They were very polite and courteous. Had her sign some papers thinking it was to have the money set up in a special account which they would ask her for money as needed, what it was is all the money went right to them. Power was cut to the home the night of the storm. They were going to monitor the house for humidity and male necessary adjustments as needed (This never happened) Mildew was on furniture, clothes and mattresses. They were going to water the yard as needed (This never happened either). There was lame excuse after another for delays. Wrong trusses were built and brought out, wrong size window was put in, blamed a lot on permits, tried and did in some cases cut corners to get by. You get my drift on how she was treated.
    She was later diagnosed with cancer and passed away in November of the same year. The wasn't even close to being ready. She never got to see her house completed. Sad, very sad. The house was sold in Feb of 2016 and Paul Davis was still working on the house up to the day of closing.

    Did not meet deadlines. Looked for more expensive way of fixing the problem because insurance would pay for it. Did not communicate information in a timely and accurate manner. Would not recommend to anyone - period!!!
