The President of the company Gayle Goodman is a school teacher and she has lost some of the great staff the company had after she came on board. Seriously, would you trust a teacher for your roof?
GAF has revoked their Master Elite Certification. Why would GAF do that???
I normally do not post reviews but after battling with ASR for two years to get them to deliver a quality roof, I am compelled to share our horrific experience. I am a licensed Real Estate Agent and I deal with contractors all the time but I have yet to come across a company that is so dishonest, so incompetent and totally unprofessional in their conduct.
We live out of State and American Standard Roofing has been cheating us all the way through becasue we are not there to see what they are doing? We have a beautiful home in a sought after neighborhood and they have managed to completely botch the roof. After completion, they gave us an inspection report showing everything had passed with flying colors but we were having some concerns about the quality of their workmanship so we decided to get an independent inspection done. We are so glad we did! Unfortunately, after 2 years, we are still dealing with issues from their shoddy work. The valleys are not uniform. Some of them are exceedingly wide and have jaggered edges. They should have changed the flashing before the shingles were installed. They took a short-cut and did not replace the flashing so then went back and installed new flashing after the shingles were already installed and IN THE PROCESS, THEY DAMAGED THE SIDING ALONG THE ROOFLINE. I reported this to them in June 2018. In November 2018, I sent them a report INCLUDING PHOTOGRAPHS everything they needed to fix. They were not responding to me so after posting -ve reviews ON THE INTERNET, they contacted me. In January 2019, I got an email from Gayle Goodman AGREEING TO FIX EVERYTHING THAT WAS ON THE LIST. Today on June 28, 2019. she has reneged on her agreement and refusing to carry out all the repairs she had agreed in January 2019. The valleys are not uniform. Some of them are wide as gutters! THEY DAMAGED THE SIDING TO THE HOUSE when they installed the flashing and water is sipping into the siding. They promised to fix it since they had damaged it and now they are refusing to fix it and saying it was already damaged - NOT TRUE!
THIS COMPANY IN MY VIEW SHOULD NOT BE IN THE ROOFING BUSINESS. They are simply dishonest, incompetent and take no pride in their work. There are more honest, sincere and professional roofers with good customer service out there. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone.

I got the architectural shingle on my house and have to say it looks really good. They say it comes with a 30 year labor and material warranty on the roof so I guess we will just wait to see how that goes. I will write back in if we have any problems, but so far so good.

Hands down best contractors I have ever used. Read lots of reviews from Angie's List and the BBB and even though they were top rated I had my doubts. They went above and beyond and I am happy to post this so that everyone else knows this for them.

Thought I needed a roof repair but realized after talking to the owner it made more sense to just get a new roof. Priced a little higher then some other quotes but was an all inclusive complete package. Already recommended them to my neighbors and they seem happy as well.

Everything was completed as stated in the contract but I do not like the color of the shingle that much. It looked different in the picture I was shown and I am stuck with it now. Other then that I dont have any complaints.

I was ready to go with a competitor but decided to give these folks a call before that. I was so impressed that I signed the contract on the spot. Best price and warranty I could find and the work ended up looking beautiful.

The first only only estimate that I needed. The guy showed up on time, explained everything clearly to me, and gave me a fair price. Not what I am used to when dealing with contractors, they actually did everything they said they would for the price we agreed on!

I did my research before getting this job done, checked Angies List, the BBB etc. After getting three quotes I found that American Standard was not only the lowest quote by far but that they also had the best reputation. The work was completed quickly and the clean up was immaculate. Highly recommended.
