I hired Mapa and crew from AMP59 Concrete, LLC this past summer for a front patio and sidewalk. They did a fantastic job and the price was far lower than other quotes I received from 3 other contractors.
I would highly recommend this company for all your concrete needs! -

I have had it with CONTRACTORS the ones that I have dealt with are POS they are just trying to separate you from your hard earned money in return for a POS job. OK,Ok I'll get off my bandwagon. I hired AMP59 CONCRETE even though there were some not so good reviews. When I met MAPA I just felt like I could trust him ( a gentle man) Was my impression of him. I hired him and he did a great job Replacing my 18' X 73' X 4" thick concrete driveway

By Damien G.March 13, 2022Deck posts and concrete driveway$30,000
Hired AMP59 concrete to fix up our failing 2nd floor deck posts (concrete footing, wood beams, stucco). The team did a good job, the stucco did not take well originally due to rain/snow soon after the application and the team came back to fix things up, no problem.
As we were happy with the quality of the job and the fair price, we hire them to redo our concrete driveway. We are in the middle of a concrete strike so things took time but driveway is done, oncrete looks fine and to our specs (we asked to change the slope...). Very happy overall. -

MAPA and his company of the AMP59 Concrete LLC came To my home and did a project. the project went very well. Their team did an amazing job. They would be at my home on time and I never question his work expertise. a very experienced man and company he got running for the many years he says that has this comapny running. his English maybe not be so well but we understood each other in communication and understanding. Everything I asked of him he did not hesitate but did the job well done. with the days they were working at my home they would clean the work site to safe place were we wouldn't get hurt. a job well done to this man and his company for the satisfaction that's been giver and I would rehire again for any future projects I have to this man Mapa owner of AMP59 CONCRETE LLC.
Thank you

Please be careful these people are criminals. Do not hire Mapa, or from what I hear anyone from Tonga as we've discovered there are a bunch of Tonga guys going around doing concrete work that don't know what they are doing. We had a large stamped concrete patio and sidewalk job. Hired Mapa because his price was so good and there were so many good reviews on Angie's List. The first pour was structurally unsound. They ran out of concrete and put a cold joint in the patio. The slope was backwards and water was pooling at our foundation. The sidewalk was 4 to 5 inches off the ground in areas and we needed a step to get off our sidewalk. The control joints were crooked and just ended in the middle of the patio. Places were crumbling. The coloring was terrible and varied hugely from one area to the next. It was shockingly horrible. He agreed to take most of it out after we had a King County Engineer out to look at it as well as a General Contractor and another reputable concrete company. We'd already paid half the money and we knew we'd lose it if we hired someone else so we flew my father in law out who has 50 years of general contracting work to supervise the project and Mapa agreed to take out 75% of the concrete since there was one area of the patio that had the proper slope and uniform color we left it. Mapa's crew put in the forms and tried to leave huge chunks of broken up concrete in the ground which would have caused cracking. We removed all these ourselves and again the slope and grade of the forms was off. We corrected all this ourselves, regraded the dirt and rock and reshaped alot of the forms so that it was the proper shape and slope. They centered the firepit 4 inches off in the middle which we corrected and the sidewalk was crooked as well. Concrete should be poured 4 inches deep but there was only 1 1/2 inches to the top of the form in places. This was all corrected by my father in law. All the experts agreed the job was too big for a 1 day pour and should have been completed in 2-3 days, but Mapa wouldn't listen and again poured it all in one day, again ran out of concrete. Thanks to my father-in-law the 2nd pour was structurally sound but they missed the stamp completely in several spots, the stamp was very light due to the concrete hardening before they could get to it (aka shouldn't have been a 1 day pour). The worst part was the color was so off again. Mapa said he could fix this with stain which he started on the border, but when he put it on it looked like a bad paint job. there were drips everywhere and the color completely covered up the contrast which he said would show through later?? We were suspect so again called some concrete companies to come out and look at it before he stained the entire patio the following day. They said you should NEVER put stain on before the concrete has cured for 28 days. We scrubbed and power washed as best we could to get it off for the next 2 days ourselves. Concrete people were appalled anyone would finish a job this bad and then try to cover it up by putting stain on new concrete. We fired Mapa after paying him $15,000 for the 1st and second round. We kept having to give him more money even though the agreement was to pay half up front and the second half after we finished. He said he didn't have the money to pay for second round of supplies so we kept paying. He didn't finish the job and we only owed him $3,000 but he decided to start harassing us at this point. He's sent the guy that carried off pour 1 concrete to threaten us that he'll destroy our property if we don't pay him $5000?! We looked him up. He has a criminal background and have called the police. He continued to threaten us in front of the police. We are in process of getting a restraining order today. These people are not only incompetent but scary and dangerous. I hope to spare others of this horrible experience.

Mapafisi, owner of AMP Concrete may want to try another line of work. He does a less than subpar job and then fixes his bad work using different types of concretes which are so visible.

Mapa Folau of AmP59 Concrete resealed about 2500 SF of stamped concrete around our home. His crew carefully cleaned the cement with a power washer and prepared the stamped concrete to be staiined and resealed. His crew did a test of the materials to be sure that they would be compatitlble with the sealer that was put on before. They then stained the stamped concrete twice to make sure it was all covered well. Then they applied two coats of a solvent acrylic sealer waiting 24 hours between coats. The concrete now looks bright and shiny and looks brand new to me. We are pleased with the result.
