Tony Valvano, of ANC Construction Corp is unprofessional and should not be trusted to properly “sanitize” and clean up after a flood or anything else. My apartment unit was flooded due to Ida, leaving sewage and filthy water on the floors and walls. I was concerned about my family safely retuning to the apartment and asked to speak to him prior to my return. Tony stated I wasn’t the person paying him so I could either deal with it or move out. He also told me that the apartment was cleaned by his company twice and was cleaner than it was prior to the floor, since he also sanitized it with a spray that kills HIV (which dies when it hits the air anyway). I explained that I’m worried about FECES which he said he could would absolutely not be an issue since the sewage was mixed with fresh water. Please see attached pictures from the bathroom (where the toilet was backing up) and throughout the rest of the house when I returned home. If that’s what I could see, I can not imagine how much sewage and flood water remains that is not visible to the human eye but continues to be a health hazard. Tony said he guaranteed the cleanliness of the unit along with my health and safety but when asked to him to provide that exact statement in writing he laughed and said he wouldn’t do that. He then said he refused to stand behind his work due to my MOTHER. A grown man, who owns a business not only brought up my mother but also stated she was the reason he would not back up his work. Please avoid this “company” at all costs if you value the safety and health of your loved ones.
