By Ellen A.May 26, 2022Build a house$280
Despite what everyone says about Mark, I have nothing but good things to say. Yes - his homes are built on the cheaper side, but you get what you pay for. He has been nothing but responsive, quick, and has been the best part of this whole process. Every time there was something we saw we didn't like or something needed fixing, he immediately had his guys come out to fix whatever it was. He always answered the phone or texts when we reached out and was nice about everything - when you're nice to him, he is nice back and wants to help you!! The house ended being absolutely beautiful. There are a few things I could point out and be nitpicky about, but again- you get what you pay for! He finished the house in about 4 months before the lender was even ready with the loan. The only thing the inspector found was a few exposed nails on the roof and an electrical outlet that needed to be switched to a ground outlet. He has been beyond nice and has listened to everything we've told him. I have nothing but good things to say about Mark as a person.

Run far away from this builder. Paint job is complete crap. Drywall is a joke. Our tile flooring looks like a drunk person installed it. Cabinets and drawers do not have screws in all the hardware, so they just fall when you use them. Shower tiling is a joke. His "guy" can't lay tile, pain, do trim work, etc. Everything has paint overspray on it. Nothing was fixed at the 1 year mark, even though we shared everything going on from day 1 of moving in. If you use his realtors, you will be sorry. They will lie to your face about things going to be fixed. Everything is a mess!!!

I have to give a 1 because it’s making me but it’s ZERO!!!! Mark Anderson DOES NOT keep his word. That is a man with NO honor!!! Our new construction house looks absolutely terrible from the ceiling is not smooth, holes around some of the lights, paint is awful i mean bad sheet rock is the same. My doors are not painted all the way like you still see the preprimed doors. Paint is everywhere white paint on the gray walls gray drops on the trim that also looks like crap. Paint ALL over the floor. Floors are scratched and ruined by the cleaning person. Doors don’t close all the way or won’t stay open. Hinges completely painted over. Broken bricks. Vanity cabinets not painted all the way. Not one single clean paint line anywhere in our house. The fridge doesn’t fit even though we gave him the dementions the microwave doesn’t fit in the custom built island just for that only. The floor is not put together all the way with large gaps. SO NOT WE DO NOT RECOMMEND MARK ANDERSON FOR ANYTHING!!! He is cheap and complains about his own mistakes that he will not fix. He told me I was too picky NO I was told quality and we got CRAP cheap crap. I have pictures for everything. I can’t even list all the ridiculous unprofessional things that were done wrong. I’d advise anyone to RUN RUN RUN or back out while you can. He also knew we had no where to go and didn’t care. We were supposed to close in March didn’t even have a slab. We just closed and it’s a disaster! QUALITY IS SOMETHING HE CANNOT DELIVER PLEASE ASK AROUND WE WISH WE DID MORE I CANNOT EXPRESS THAT ENOUGH

Only giving him 2 stars because the house is still standing so far. (I'll update this if anything happens in the future, ha) But after a whole year, we finally are getting to move into a house he built for us. He was very rude and lied about a lot of things. He would say something would get done and then it wouldn't happen for another month or so. We were originally supposed to close in november 2020, but obviously, we just closed this month. He's also very difficult to work with. When it came time to do the home inspection, we paid for someone to inspect the house and Mark did not show up until the inspectors left and we had to explain what needed to be fixed. And he would complain or argue with us about it. Heard from various workers of his that they hate working for him or that they are leaving to find another builder because he's so terrible to them. I will never recommend him to anyone.

By Mississippi C.December 17, 2020New Home$230,000
We pointed out mistakes multiple times on a new home that were never corrected. Mark assured us everything would be complete before closing and that was not the case. Driveway was a muddy mess and we were told to “stay off of it” until it dried. Stud walls had bows and were covered up with additional drywall. Cut lots of corners to save money. Very said to see such little care given to quality of work.

I would not recommend in the least. He does not keep his word. They cut corners on every thing to save a dime. Septic is coming back into my yard, called him many times to ask for correction. He built another home next to mine simultaneously and I am below their grade. He did nothing to divert their water from coming directly on top of me. I have asked multiple times for him to redirect with ditch or swell, etc and NOTHING.... There was trash and debris left by brick layers, plumbers, carpenters, etc. scattered everywhere on our lot. 0 stars out of 5 from me. We are thoroughly displeased with this builder and all the things he did not honor under our 1 year builder warranty.

Bought house in 2006, within a year the back of the cabinets were coming off the cabinets and the wall, I've had to replace all the water shut off valves in the walls of the house due to breaking and flooding (both bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room), the AC unit is not big enough for the house, cannot keep up with the house. The septic tank is for 2 people ( in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house). There is a short in the electrical. When you turn on the light in the bedroom it bleeds through the outlets. There was no paper under the shingles when I replaced the roof. Would not buy an Anderson Home again. My neighbors agree. Very cheaply made.

By Kim W.August 28, 2019New construction$180,000
I would never recommend this builder. Multiple structure issues, plumbing and roof. He dumped us before we got to electrical knowing our home had sold and we had no where to live.

Floors coming up. Hardwood floors are popping. Light switches don't work. They were supposed to smooth out the yard. But did not. Beer bottles food wrappers broken glass all over the property. The house was built backwards obviously because someone didn't know how to read the blueprints. Gave us grief over everything . The house didn't even come with a driveway. Lol! Seriously for what we are paying for this house you would think they would have done that. But it is about cost. They don't wanna spend the money to complete a job. Not to mention they didn't even clean the house before we moved in. Lazy lazy . Cabinets are not secure on the walls we had to do that ourselves. I would not recommend this company

I am giving him a 1 because there is no 0. All his work is crap. If he see's something wrong he will not fix it if you don't point it out to him. I could wright a book on the things he did wrong in our house
