    Nick really set himself apart from other contractors in my book because he really listened to us. When we contacted Angelic Real Estate and Investments, Nick came out and listened as we explained what it was that we wanted and then delivered exactly that. The other contractors just came by and gave us quotes without listening so we really appreciated that Nick actually took the time to listen to us. Nick also sent subcontractors who were very punctual, professional, and definitely knew what they were doing. They were able to finish everything in a very timely manner which was great. Throughout the whole process if there was something that did not meet our standards we could bring it up with them and they would work with us to get it exactly right. It was so smooth and easy.

    Our neighbors were all amazed at how quickly they closed our second story addition (roof, windows, shingles, etc). Angelic was so fast with their build that our home was finished faster. Nick deserves a big thanks from us during this process - they always wanted to make sure we were happy with the build and the minor adjustments we requested to our design were done without hesitation.

    The quality of their workmanship is also excellent - we didn't have any problems with inspections along the way.

    We definitely made the right choice to go with Angelic. We are so happy with our new second story addition, and would 100% hire Angelic again in the future! Thank you so much to Nick and the rest of the Angelic Team!! We wish you all the best in the future!

    Other Residential Remodel project

    The remodel included changing a closed in porch to extend our indoor space. Plus, we asked for our lvgrm and hall floor be redone to all be one tile w the new area. All looks ok now. We live geographically far away from the contractor and all of his workers. That fact seemed to be a big issue on getting workers out here. The ones that came were slow to finish electrical, cement/flat work?, tile layer; according to our contractor. The door frame, base boards needed to be redone 2-3 times. They ended up w extra putty between 1 existing baseboard and the new one w an unlevel transistion between the two. We had no written finished by date. Our contractor stated 4-6 weeks. We signed our final contract 2-6-21. We had a week of below freezing weather. So the week of Feb 15-19, they could not work. They began work Mar 2. The demo, framework and new wall enclosure were completed by Mar 3. All good. Electrical, tt&b and part of cement done by Mar 19. Cement floor not finishe til 1 week longer. End product was very unlevel. But contractor said tile guy could level it. He could not. Tile took another 2 -3 weeks to get finished, mostly acceptable. Still unlevel/not smooth across as you 'slide' across. Walking is ok. Pushing a walker will not be. Finished painting is beyond expectation and graciously painted more space than expected. Looks wonderful. Finished walkthru date was April 28. Dumpster pick up was May 3.

    Our big blessings: All workers were nice, polite, cordial. The job has ended up looking lovely and to our satisfaction. Not perfect but then, we are not perfect either.

    Our big frustrations: 1. Many times during the course of the construction, our contractor stated either that he would call, come, that a worker was coming. None of the above would happen. At times, no info. We were left waiting for something to happen to no avail. We were frustrated.

    It was a pleasure working with Nancy and Tom Knox and getting to know them and their sweet dog, unfortunately, a little too well. My initial tile guy did an unacceptable job in spite of 30+ years experience and I really cannot believe he allowed the thin set to dry with the tile not being level. I couldn't allow it so that caused us to demo the tile, pulling up the trim, purchase more tile, leveling compound, thin set, grout, and lay it down properly along with new trim. My crews are busy and the location did pose an issue when portions of the job were not done correctly the 1st time as it does with all jobs where the tasks are not done right the 1st time. It throws off the schedule causing an inconvenience for all parties most importantly the customer. Unfortunately during construction things do not work out perfectly at times and its how you adapt and improvise that separates good and bad companies. The important thing is to remain in communication and ultimately get the job done right even if it means losing money and missing the estimated completion time. I appreciate the feedback and will always use the compliments and criticism constructively to be better the next time. I appreciate Mr & Mrs Knox for allowing me to work with them. They were wonderful customers even when things were not working out as planned. They were actually empathetic towards the gentleman that laid the unlevel tile which shows what caring people they are. I am glad the additional space and covered pergola has made their home more enjoyable. My tile crews have never made that mistake before and it will not happen again as that crew no longer does work for Angelic RE. Some of greatest attributes of my homes are bathrooms, kitchens, flooring do in large part to pristine tile work.
