    Deck Construction & Complete window replacement

    We have had the pleasure of working with Angus Construction throughout the years, first, as our community association’s primary contractor. And, second, on two specific projects for our unit – a deck expansion and a full window replacement. We continue to be impressed by the professionalism, attention to detail and courtesy carried out by each and every employee of this company. The final product has always exceeded our expectations and the follow through to make sure that we were satisfied customers was appreciated and impressive.

    Structural Issues. Reconstruction of our cantilevered balconies and damaged roof components.

    It is with great pleasure to make public our feelings toward Angus Smith Construction. This company was hired in 2019 by the Mona Lisa HOA to repair and renovate our Long Beach condominium complex located at 2767 East 3rd Street. Reconstruction of our cantilevered balconies and damaged roof components were intricate and challenging. Angus led a cohesive team which resulted in contracted work being done on time and exceeding our quality and efficiency expectation. Homeowner issues and City Building Department issues were handled professionally with care and attention to detail. Our condominium complex benefitted greatly from Angus Smith Constructions' core values of integrity and commitment to excellence. Angus has a unique ability to relate to owners and to other professionals and work effectively to produce outstanding results. It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with him.

    Deck expansion

    Hi. Angus Smith removed my old deck and built a new one about 23' x 10' in July 2020. The original quote was a good price for Newport Beach. The crew started on time every day and much to my surprise finished on time. I don't think I've ever had a contractor finish on time. He worked with the HOA to get the exact materials, and colors, again in my previous experience the contractor wanted me to do all of the work. He also handled the permitting with the city which in my experience my previous contractors either wouldn't do it, or they'd charge extra for every trip. He also worked with the architect and city to make changes they requested. The excellent work they did, and speed with which they completed the task was impressive. I followed every step of the project very closely and when it was completed I was extremely happy. Many of my neighbors made very favorable comments. Excellent job! Thank you Angus!

    Angus Smith has done work at our condominiums for several years. He was hired by a very corrupt board of directors who never listened to what the homeowners want. Angus is a very pushy, extremely arrogant guy who is rude and insulting every step of the way. His work is average. Now that we have a new HOA board, the has been banned from doing any more work on our homes.
