Brent is a very nice guy, but when it comes to finishing his work I found it lacking. I have the house listed above for the permit at 102 Ideal Street, Lafayette, La. His work did not pass code and he has yet to return my phone calls or texts to determine when he will fix his work. Half of the outlets in the house are TR rated, and half are not. Code requires that they all be TR rated. Upstairs needs to be on an AFI circuit, it is not. Island and kitchen cabinet area needs to be on separate circuits, they are not. One of the ceiling fans in the dining room does not even turn on. All these things are in the Standard code book, and should be known by any licensed electrician.
In the meantime we are still paying construction loan interest while waiting on him, so we can get our final inspection.
Another contractor that you need to be sure not to fully pay until he has completed and his work has passed inspection.
