Do not hire Caggiano Electrical! He overcharges his labor and material and does sloppy work. I hired him (Oct 2020) to install a ceiling fan I bought, install switches, and wire a couple smart thermostats I bought. In the middle of the job, the owner, Anthony Caggiano, left for 45 minutes to buy 14/3 wire. My job needed at most 50 ft of this very common wire. I couldn’t believe he showed up to my job w/o this wire and then charged me for his shopping time. At end of day, he gave me a bill which I questioned and although I paid for his wire shopping trip I told him I wasn’t paying for his hour lunch break. He also treats 40 minutes of an hour as a full hour of work. I questioned the $180 he charged for material and he commented, yeah it really adds up. After Tony left, I investigated the material and found that even w/o a contractor discount, I could buy all the material for under $30! After Tony left, I went down in the basement to see what he did. Instead of using the common wire already at the thermostat to wire the smart thermostats, he ran new wire from the furnace and he ran them over and under tiles of my dropped ceiling. He and his partner did not tuck wires neatly up in joist and out of the way, but just went straight from point A to B, and screw the ceiling tiles! They also made no attempt at putting back the ceiling tiles and cleaning up the job. I called Tony at most an hour after he left and he said he was sorry about that and he’d come back and correct the work but needed to check his schedule. He even texted me agreeing that he was going to fix the work. Then after trying to contact him to get him in to actually do what he said he would do, he texts back “lose my number” and ghosts me. This is hardly the way a professional owner of a company should be acting. So I now I have pay someone else to redo his wiring mistake. Then I discovered when Tony installed one of my smart thermostats he broke off all of the tabs that are used to lock the wires in and even left two wires with damaged protective sheaths (so the metal was exposed!), thereby running the risk of shorting out. So, I had to buy a new smart thermostat. There are some more issues I spotted in the work done by Caggiano Electrical, but I think people get the point. Under no circumstances should he be hired.

He worked on my build out and was not the least bit professional. Paid him $7,000 and he did nothing for several months and then wanted an additional $5,000 to get "Started". He is a thief and a joke. Stay away!!!
