  Kitchen backsplash, counters, kitchen floor and dining room floor

  Anthony Powers did my countertops, backsplash and kitchen and dining room floors. He did a quality and professional job. I get compliments all the time on the beautiful custom patterns that he created using stone and also marble. He was reliable and easy to work with. I recommend him for all your tile needs.

  Tile and stone work

  Anthony Powers Tile is absolutely the worst of the worst. Here are some of the problems I encountered with Powers:
  Anthony Powers brought his two young boys with him as helpers. The boys worked solely and exclusively under the direction and supervision of Powers. Powers paid his boys (if they were paid), and was solely responsible for their work.
  Powers’ boys were completely inexperienced as tile/stone fabricators and installers.
  I paid Powers a fixed amount per day for him and his boys to each to work 8 hours per day on my job. If Powers and/or his boys did not work a full 8 hours on my project on a particular day, I was supposed to be credited for the missing hours. However, I was not credited for missing hours.
  Powers was required to to be at my job site (except when he had to leave to get supplies for my project) and to work exclusively on my project for 8 hours each day. He was not supposed to leave my job site to bid or work on other jobs.
  Powers spent a tremendous amount of time (for which he billed me and for which I paid him) not at my job site or getting supplies for my job. Rather, he frequently left to work on other jobs (it’s called double dipping) and/or to bid other jobs.
  Powers did not credit me for the hours that he and/or his boys did not work on my project for 8 hours per day.
  While Powers was not at my job site because he was doing things that had nothing whatsoever to do with my project, he did not supervise his completely inexperienced boys.
  Due solely and exclusively to Powers’ failure to supervise his completely inexperienced boys, the quality of Powers’ work on my job was extremely poor and unacceptable. For example:
  Powers’ completely inexperienced boys, working without supervision, laid outside stone with a slant toward the structure rather than away from the structure. As a result, water flows toward the structure, pools in front of a single door, a pair of French doors, and a garage door, and comes into the structure from under the doors. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that stone work outside of a structure should have a slight slant away from the structure.
  Powers was supposed to match the style of preexisting stonework and failed to do so.
  Powers failed to install grout in several areas.
  Powers was supposed to install a round border around a tree, but his inexperienced boys installed a random shaped border.
  Powers and/or his boys did not accurately measure places where I was supposed to have single pieces of slab marble. As a result, instead of single pieces of slab marble I have patched pieces of slab marble.
  The stone floors inside of the structure are completely uneven to the extent that they present dangerous trip hazards.
  It is my understanding that Powers worked on my project while his license was under suspension. I believe that was illegal.
  It is my individual, personal, subjective opinion, belief, and interpretation that I was ripped off by Anthony Powers Tile.  Moreover, it is my individual, personal, subjective opinion, belief, and interpretation that Anthony Powers Tile is incompetent, dishonest, and/or unethical.  The foregoing review solely provides my individual, personal, subjective opinions, beliefs, and interpretations.
