I would never recommend this contractor. They are a company on paper only that hires subcontractors to actually do the work. Their only claim to fame is handling all communications with your insurance company - which you can do yourself. You are not told when asked to sign an authorization form that allows them to contact your insurance company but you are required to pay your deductible ‘before’ they will even schedule a date to work on your roof. I spent days researching them and so many red flags. I also ‘found’ houses they had worked on - time delays abundant. One 1100 sq ft house started on May 10 still not complete (Aug 10) and a final inspect called for in June failed miserably. They quoted us one price and then submitted a quote of over $7,200 more to our insurance company. Their principle business address is a mail box in a UPS Store in Orlando but yet they haven’t pulled a permit to work in Orange County since 2014. There are too many repercussions for home owners in FL. Even though you pay a contractor in full, if they do not pay their subcontractors OR suppliers, those owed money can put a lien on your property. If illegals are found working on your property the home owner can be charged as compliant. The workers used in my county are ‘nice’ but do not speak English. Steer clear of this company - there are too many local reputable roofers to take a chance with AP Construction/Roofing. I did my in-depth research before they started work on our house and still working with our insurance company to get AP to release us. We have a beautiful home and looking at the three roofs done in our county, our home would devalued because their shoddy roof work. Also, a shingles warranty depends on proper installation so warranties can be in jeopardy.
