Here's why I'm giving a bad review.
It started with me sending him the following email:
Back in January 2021 (the 28th), we had an outdoor faucet freeze up and you came out and replaced it.Well, today I used it for the first time, and water leaks out around the handle when the faucet is turned on but the nozzle is shut off. Once the nozzle is opened and the pressure drops off, all seems ok.
But, I'd like you to come out and correct the situation, as a new faucet shouldn't leak like that.
This is the response I got back:
Frost proof hose bibs are not meant to have a on/off spray nozzel connected to the end of the hose. Installing one will damage the guides on the vacuum breaker...not saying that's what it is but it sounds like it.

AP Plumbing LLCSo, I replied on 4/3/21:
So when can you come out and check it?
I received CRICKETS in return. Chirp, chirp. Even though he's says he's not sure what it is, he's OBVIOUSLY not going to check it out.
Now, I must confess I was a bit confused by the damage to the spigot claim.
I mean, who doesn't have a nozzle that they use to water their garden, wash their car, etc? And all of these nozzles shut off when you release the handle.
And this breaks the faucet?
So, I had 2 questions:
#1. If this is true, why would you install one on ANYONE'S house? Especially without warning them?
#2. Is this true?
So, I emailed TWO of the manufacturers of these type of spigots. Here are their replies.
PRIER brand. Astry Sosa replied:
Larry,That is somewhat correct.
We do not reccommend more than 12 hours of continuous pressure as it can cause problems with the vacuum breaker.
And, From Woodford Customer Service, MIKE PETERS:
These products are intended for 12 hour operational use and then should be shut off at the handle.
In both cases, they said that 12 hours of continuous pressure FROM THE NOZZLE being shut off...was bad. And one of them actually reported a case where this had happened AFTER 3 YEARS of this type of use!
So, you decide dear reader....what are the odds that I'd been watering my yard, shut off the water and then left it that way for over 12 hours.
Or...does this guy NOT stand behind his work.
There is a happy ending to the story though. I looked at videos on the internet, went out to the faucet, and TIGHTENED THE PACKING NUT about 3/4's of a turn...and all was well.

Called late afternoon with a broken waterheater. They were out the next morning to replace it.
