avoid at all costs. Their employees are learning while working on your home. They installed cabinets that malfunction and refuse to replace them. The floor they installed doesn't fit correctly. The paint on the walls is all streaked. When I call them, they don't answer or call back when I leave a message.

Apple Renovations is HORRIBLE. They were supposed to enclose my breezeway. They started on November 9 and were supposed to finish no later than Dec. 21. It is still not done and now the company has closed down. Owner Mike Matweychek started lying from the first week. He was confrontational, aggressive and very difficult to work with. He would never give a schedule on when the workers were coming and often when he did they wouldn’t show up.Some weeks they only worked 1 hour, then 1 1/2 hours the next week and not at all the next week. It’s been ten weeks now and they have worked a total of 49 hours. This job should have been completed in two weeks. They would show up, work one hour and Mike would pull them to a different job, this happened repeatedly. Now I am told they are closed and Mike won’t respond, leaving MANY customers high and dry. He needs to be in jail.

Dan Yell designed our new kitchen and he was responsible for ordering our cabinets and new window. Gave them close to $34,000, of which our cabinets and new window was supposed to be ordered and they DIDN'T order any of it. Came in and did demo and rough electrical and now they have no money to finish our job! They used my money on someone elses project or to make payroll. I have no idea where our money went. I don't even know if they paid the sub-contractors. They tore up my entire first floor and left us living in the cold basement. They also never got a permit to do anything and shouldn't have been in our house. Mike Matweychek is a chronic liar. Kept coming up with excuse after excuse and point blank lied to me saying he has a permit when in fact that city put a stop work order on my home. They owe us about $29,000 and he won't respond to my texts. Police report will be filed. STAY AWAY!

Permits
- Building permit records show that Apple Renovation Services has worked on 44 permitted projects.
Apple Renovations took our money and never completed work. They abandoned our project after barely starting. Completed the financing in December of 2019, they didn't secure the permit until March 2020, then didn't start our project until September 2020 due to covid and a multitude of delays. They did manage to have a foundation dug for our $130k+ project. We got excuses until December 2020 until all communication stopped. Found out in January that they were "out of business" and had no intention of completing our project. In this time they took over $20k to order materials that were never actually ordered. We had to find a brand new contractor and begin the process all over. We have very little recourse, we could sue Michael Matweychek to get it back but he has no assets to liquidate. Steer clear of him. I have no doubt he'll start a new company eventually and start fleecing people under a new name.
