Buyer beware. We entered into our contract for a kitchen, bath and floor remodel in August 2018, and 9 months later, we are still waiting for our kitchen to be installed. We have not received a preconstruction checklist or a timeline as to when our cabinets will be installed or when the work will be completed.
I have emailed, called and even scheduled a mediation with the orange county bar association citizens dispute resolution, in an effort to get an answer as to when our work will be completed. To date, they continue to ignore our request for a timely completion of our contract for home remodeling.
We gave them half of the deposit and they had the audacity to ask us for more money when they haven't even assured us that our kitchen will be timely installed. Do Not trust them with a large sum of the deposit, because their Contract states the deposit is Nonrefundable. Also do not agree to their binding arbitration in their contract because we specifically crossed that out out of ours, yet they continue to violate the contract and not deliver in a timely fashion.
This has been the most unpleasant experience my husband and I have endured with any contractor. There has been a lack of integrity and transparency with regards to their process. They have asked us for additional funds, but have not assured us that the work will be completed, which is contrary to our contract. Also, there are many lies listed on their own website which is as follows:
"Operations: To ensure a seamless operation of projects large and small, we implement a formal scheduling system and pre-construction checklist. We also meet with clients at least once a week to update them on their project's progress."
That information is false. We never received a pre-construction check list, and we never received a timeline as to when the work will be completed. Over one month ago we were reassured that information would be sent and we are still waiting to this day.
Additionally , they have failed to communicate to us at least once a week as to the project's progress. Had I not called and insisted they would never have responded to me, and the time would have continued to go by.
The reviews you will read as to the quality of customer service is all false. The only person who has communicated with me as to the progress is a sales man by the name of Ken.
The owners will take your money and will not deliver, so buyer beware. I pray one day they experience what we are going through, when someone cheats you out of your hard earned money and causes constructions delays And fails to communicate with you.
It has been nine months since we signed our contract and they demolished our kitchen on March 25. They said our cabinets were ordered and they were not, we're still waiting for our cabinets to be installed.
We have no kitchen because of their miscommunication about the kitchen installation.
Further information from the website:
"Follow-Up: Have a question or concern? If we happen to miss your phone call or email, we pledge to return all morning calls and emails by 1 p.m. and all afternoon calls and emails by 6 p.m. You'll never be left wondering where we are! "
Really? That is also not true. I've been waiting for more than 48 hours to know the status of the kitchen install. They will definitely leave you wondering as to what is happening with your project. Again, buyer beware.
"Follow-Through: We want you to be totally satisfied with our services, so we'll never leave a job half-done." I hope that my project will be completed as soon as possible. However, they have no sense of urgency. If any of the owners read this, I hope you all can have some integrity and finish our project in order to avoid a breach of contract lawsuit. As a lawyer, I have no problem filing a lawsuit. We have a mediation scheduled, and if they don't show up, that will be further proof that they can care less about the customer. Buyer beware.
This company is the worst. I contacted them to do a small kitchen remodel. The first guy they sent out was arrogant and rude and didn't want to deal with a woman--he kept wanting to talk to the man of the house which there was none. He refused to even measure the kitchen to give a bid. I called the company and complained so they sent out another guy. He came and gave me a verbal bid but I wanted a written one as well. The company told me they don't give written bids but would see if they could send me one via email. For several weeks--lets say months--I have been calling to find out where my bids is. So today I am told the guy who came to my house is no longer with the company so they have no record of his bid. Really--the customer service is awful. Every time I call, I get a call center employee who is new on the job. The employee turn around is a clue to stay away fro this company. Read the reviews--they take a long time to do the work and they don't even give you a written bid.

Home addition
$100,000
Getting involved with this company has been (and still is) the absolute worst experience of my life - a complete and total NIGHTMARE! I hired them to build an addition on my home so I can move my elderly father in. He suffered a massive stroke and his only wish is to live with his family and not in a home for the remainder of his life. I called ACS. The one major thing that was communicated was that the project MUST remain within my budget as the funds for the addition were coming from the sale of my father's home. We had two separate contractors come out from ACS and both assured us that the project could easily be done under my budget of $100K. We were given an estimate of $70 - $100K and were assured we would only be at the top end of the estimate if we were to choose all of the high end finishes, but even this was within budget. We signed the contract with the contingency to remain under budget and gave a $33K deposit as that was what was required to get started. I was hesitant, however Sam, the salesman, a.k.a. the lying rip off artist, promised me to my face that if the project cost was over budget I could cancel and receive my deposit back. Weeks later, we met to view the plans and were told the project cost would be close to $140K. When asked why the new estimate was so high, they could not give a satisfactory (or believable) answer as all the factors they mentioned should have been taken into consideration when providing an initial estimate. The only thing I could think of was that the company has completely incompetent people giving estimates or they were trying to get me for more money. Either way, I no longer trusted this company. In fact, they called me childish for being upset over the price increase and implied I should have expected it. I inquired about the process to cancel the contract. I assumed any large company would want to keep their integrity intact and be happy to just part ways with an upset and unhappy customer. All I wanted was my deposit refunded so I could just move on with a different company and get my father moved in. They refused to cancel with a forfeiture of $3,300, 10% of my deposit even though they freely admit it was their salesman’s fault the estimate was way off and I was promised I could cancel with a full refund. Three months have gone by and I have received neither a refund nor any work done even though I have filed several complaints with their customer service manager. I am in the process of working with an attorney and filing a lawsuit against this company.
