Do NOT use Aqua Design & Decor - as others have mentioned, meeting Raymond and Bob will be the worst day of your life unless you like getting ripped off and left feeling helpless every day you wake up. We finished contracts in June 2020 and were sold (as well as over paid $15k) for the job to be completed within 4-5 weeks of the shell being dropped which seemed very realistic being as though we have one of the smallest models San Juan Pools offers. The shell was dropped October 6th 2020 and since then about 2-3 weeks worth of actual work has been completed. They refuse to communicate or respond to calls/texts/emails and disappear for 3-7 weeks at a time. When they do show up or respond, it's nothing but lies and disappear again without any remorse. We've had a lien threatened on our home from a subcontractor they refused to pay, had to get the DBPR and Attorney General involved and they still don't care. Hands down the worst run business and "contractor" in the state of Florida. They finally showed up this week for the first time in 3 weeks, did an hour of work then disappeared again after promising to return the next 2 days. That 4-5 weeks job is now reaching 7 months since the shell was dropped and the only consistent thing about their business is them not showing up or giving a darn. Thieves, con-artists, and shoddy work at best (our concrete footer has a 4-6" slope they're trying to rig and cover up now before inspections, busted our main drain line then tried stating it was an old un-used pipe which was not the case) and we're left with a disgusting green filled eye sore with no end in site. Do not make the same decision we, and everyone else in Hillsborough County that has used them regrets making.

The San Juan brand pool is beautiful, but installation presented some problems, and follow-up issues have been left completely ignored. During installation, the sub-contractor responsible for pouring concrete for the deck surrounding the pool chose to wash out hoses and allow them to empty and leave pools of concrete that hardened on the lawn surrounding the pool area. I was told that these would be cleaned up but they were not and I finally paid a lawn company to break the concrete into lumps and remove them. Pool accessories that were "gifted" for pool care were cheap, the thermometer broken and useless, and all had to be replaced.
A bigger problem was that the pool pump circuit breaker that was installed would periodically "pop" cutting off all pool filtration. A number of messages were sent, via phone voicemails and text message, to the company owner requesting that this safety issue be addressed. At first, I received one response that Covid prevented the electrician from responding, Later, as the problem persisted, one call was responded to and a promise was made that it would be looked into, but it never was. Finally, after six months during which the problem continued, additional messages went completely ignored. Reputable pool technicians now say that part of the conduit pipes to the pool motor had not been installed properly and the circuit breaker may be insufficient to meet needs, but that minor repairs are possible and can correct the problem.
I can highly recommend San Juan pools, but only if installed by a reputable and customer service responsible company - not Aqua Designs and Decor
