DO NOT use this company. I only gave one star because zero isn't possible.
Jimmy Griffin, the owner, took $7500 in three installments (we gave him a down payment and he insisted on more money for materials,) of a $15000 job. He tore up the pool deck, removed the tile from rim of pool and chiseled the cracks, then worked a couple of hours a week until we fired him 2 weeks after the agreed upon completion date.
Even though we paid for a dumpster, he left a mound of broken concrete in our front yard that killed the grass and my husband had to clean up.
The house and pool were rented until he rendered it unrentable due to the demolition. There were cracks in the pool deck and pool leaked at the tile line. Not a huge job.
After 4 weeks of a 2 week job, we were forced to contract other companies to put our pool back together. This was not an easy task given he left such a mess and we live 850 miles away. We flew back and forth several times during this time frame.The deck that he claimed would take a couple hours to prep for concrete, took a three man crew two full days to clean up and install drains.
Received a small claims judgement for $5500 after he promised to refund the money he did not earn and could not provide receipts for materials. He has not paid this money. The BBB will not allow me to record a complaint due to this judgement so I'm posting on as many sites as possible to warn consumers.
Mr. Griffin was unreliable provided many unsubstantiated excuses. Despite no receipts for materials that he claimed to have purchased with our $7500, we offered to pay the suppliers for materials to get the job finished. He still did not show up to work.
