If you're looking for a pool, avoid this place and its owners at all costs. Rob Thomas will tell you everything will be smooth and that it will be a painless experience due to them "only building one pool at a time." Furthermore, they tell you "weather permitting" the build will be done in three weeks. This couldn't be further from the truth. It took them 8 months to complete our build, and unless it 72 degrees and sunny out good luck getting anyone there to work.
As far as the "one pool" at a time claim...bs. We found out they were building two other pools at the same time (poorly I'm sure). This wasn't hard to find out due to them posting photos of other pools they were working on to their social media accounts. Rob became impossible to get in contact with and his wife would refuse to forward messages or return calls. I had to resort to emails to keep record of their lack of communications.
Then enters Jake the actual pool builder....he has no experience, poor manners, and his employees were either high or didn't show. Most days one of his two employees would stare at the sky to watch for area hawks...because he thought it was good luck...idiot. While the employees lacked any real motivation, Jake was the leader of hit and run construction. Instead of protecting the brick on the backside of the house, Jake sprayed concrete all over. This got on the bricks and windows. So we ask them to at the very least clean the windows. Jake sends some high school kid over with paint thinner and removes the concrete from the windows...ALONG WITH THE PAINT AROUND MY WINDOW TRIM.
The Jack screw ups continue...dug one area too low, had to add rock and didn't add any drainage. Rob then charges me an extra $600 for Jake's screw-up and not more than a week later, the concrete cracks. Which I guess was a good thing considering Jake misplaced the downspouts from my house (4 inches of center and crooked). Jake agrees to replace the concrete that was cracked, re-aligns the downspouts, but doesn't hook them back up, and damages the surrounding concrete. Of course Jake says he was going to fix the damages he created as well as hook up the downspouts, but never showed back up.
Jake absolutely destroyed my yard, my neighbor’s yard, the roadway, and my neighbor’s sprinkler system and sewer drain. Of course this was due to his lack of experience and inability to work safely, again, Jake was going to fix all these issues...never did.
Now it's Rob's turn, because while they say it is one business, it's actually two and both are piss poor, and neither communicates with each other. So Rob shows up 2 months after they started the build (just missed the 3 week deadline by over double). Rob brings in his crew and they install the liner. This is in the middle of December, so I wasn't able to inspect the floor. Fast forward a couple months the concrete is complete, but the pool is a mess. Rob sends over a crew to clean the pool...first cleaning awful, it looks like they just moved dirt around in the pool. This was done all while removing approximately 5000 gallons from our pool because they didn't want that much dirt going into our pump. They come out a second time and this time the cleaning is better, but bye bye another 5000 gallons of water down the drain. I then have to spend $300 to fill my pool back up so it can be opened for the spring.Rob comes back out to my house to oversee the pool pump install and the opening of the pool. Rob says everything goes ok with the install and leaves. Later that evening I notice that the pool is losing water at a rapid rate. I call Rob and he comes back out. This time there is 10,000 gallons of water gone. Where did it go? O it went behind our liner and under our pool, because Rob forgot to cut out one of our jets. Rob of course blames this on his employees, because why would the owner of a company take on any ownership of his screw up. So what about the 10k of water gone...not his problem. I had to again fill my pool up with my house this time costing $600.
Moral of the story avoid this company at all cost.

I hired Rob and his guys to replace my old pool equipment. They were very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable about their products; solving multiple problems with equipment on hand. I also enjoy going to their store where they are well stocked and ready to help. Thanks for a job well done!
