Between lack of communication, false promises, careless work, countless delays, and a poor attitude, I would not recommend working with Aram.
If you want to read about my experience, you're in for a long story that spans over the course of many months with many frustrating moments.
A while back I hired Aram to fix a leaky pool. He gave us the initial quote and did *some* of the work. He concluded that the stucco needed to be stripped from the drained pool and reapplied with one of a higher quality, resulting in a need for another payment to him.
Fine. We trusted his judgement and allowed him to continue his work.
For weeks he was uncommunicative. Finally I was able to have him come back out and start this part-2 of the job.
He first gave me a 1-week timeline to have it finished. Perfect timing too, since it was starting to be the hottest parts of the summer.
A week goes by - his guys showed up twice and the job is not complete.
At this point I'm messaging him asking what's going on and his gives me a new timeline of mid-week the following week. OK -- let's just get it done.
His guys show up at the house while I wasn't there and broke part of the glass wall that retains the water. One of his workers had to be rushed to the hospital.
Accidents happen. From my understanding, his insurance paid for his worker's stitches and hospital care. But now we're even further back on his projected timeline. And I caught his workers on camera accidentally ripping out my driveway's sliding gate track when they failed to properly secure their trailer jack. Aram did not approach me about this additional damage and I needed to show him proof it was his workers who ripped the track out.
By this point we're months into a job that was promised to take three weeks with multiple accidents and delays that should have been avoided if him and his team had any sense of attention and care.
Aram's insurance paid for the glass panel and driveway track replacement and installation and while I was out of town on July 9th, he sends me a photo of an empty pool saying "All is done" at 6pm.
The next morning I came back to a flooded backyard I needed to tend to because Aram or his workers decided to fill the pool back up and leave, causing the pool to overflow overnight.
After shutting off the water in a panic, I noticed broken glass all over the grass immediately next to the pool from their accident AND THE POOL STILL LEAKED WORSE THAN BEFORE!
Meanwhile, Aram had to leave the country for two weeks. So I was left with a yard full of broken glass, a pool that leaked worse than before Aram got involved, and a desire to cool down in the pool while it was over 100 degrees outside.
We lock in Monday, July 26th, to meet at the house and evaluate what needs to happen before I can pay him his last remaining check.
He assured me the job would be finished that week. Sunday, August 1, comes and his workers still haven't come to finish the job. I reach out, and finally on August 4th, they complete the job.
I still find tiny shards of broken glass in the grass surrounding the pool. Thankfully no one has been cut (knock on wood).
Avoid Aram Construction at all costs. Find a contractor who can manage your project in a timely manner with care.
