I have never reviewed anything good or bad - but I felt it was my duty to post this warning so that nobody out there has to experience what I have gone through for the past 2 years. It was very deeply troubling experience. I was moving from MA to NY and I had a 6 day window in which to get my 940 square foot apartment painted before the furniture arrived. For my 940 square foot apartment I was given a quote of 30,000. I did not have that kind of money so I removed a couple of rooms. I had three painters provide me with bids and Ernesto the first person to bid explained that because my walls were concrete I had to cover them with wire mesh to accommodate the expansion and contraction and this was a 3 week process. He said without either the mesh or covering all the walls with sheetrock I would be looking at immediate cracks within only a couple of months. I had never heard of this so when Arch construction said that was innacurate and not the case I really did not know who was correct but I knew enough to ask Arch construction to add a line in their contract stating their work would hold up for at least a year he agreed to do so. Anyway, Arch's work was awful and his team was sloppy and disorganized. I was paying $22,000 for 640 square feet which was top dollar and for that money I was expecting a good job. They only had time to partilly skimcaot, they lost switch plates and outlet covers, there were paint drips on the floor, on the light fixtures and on the french doors. There was trim that was painted the wrong color because they did not have the correct color so they used whatever they had and they were so frazzled that they even painted one of the rooms that I had removed from the contract initially to reduce the price - let me repeat a room they planned to charged big $$$ for they they painted mistakenly I could go on but let me get to the point 3 months after the job ended the kitchen wall cracked from floor to ceiling. The contract had definitely been breached. I had already paid 2/3rds of the $22,000 _ I owed a balance of $7,700.00 Obviously I refused to pay unless the got professionals in and to do the job correctly from square one - I said they would need to start over and skimcoat walls as it stated in their contract. And after I sent that email Arch Construction SUED ME - they actually sued me for the balance. The put a lien on my apart ment and tried to force mye to pay in underhanded Manipulative ways. There was no way!!! This past week it finally went to trial almost 3 years later and yes the judge dismissed Arch's case and ruled he breached his contract and many other things. If anyone wants a copy of the case I am happy to share the details since for some reason civil lawsuits in Westchester County are not available to the public.....but to sum it up stay far far away. _Lisa S, Yonkers, New York
