    Mission street store front remodeling

Andy remodeled my store on SF Mission street store. Main work included pouring new concrete foundation and restoring the supporting wall and drywall, plumbing and paint. Andy completed the work on time and met my expectation.

    Kitchen Remodel project

I had an extremely complex project, a flood on two floors from a plumbing leak, covered by insurance. Laminate and linoleum flooring, baseboards, drywall, blistered paint, kitchen cabinets, and soaked acoustical ceiling tiles had to be replaced. One contractor gave an estimate that was accepted by the insurance company, but then that contractor backed out, saying he was moving to Sacramento. Andy, head of Archeon, agreed to abide by the prior contractor's estimate. Although there were the usual delays and timing miscommunications common to every construction job, Andy and his team did an outstanding job, very high quality and within budget. His team also handled unexpected electrical and plumbing problems. They can do it all! I'm super happy with the results and highly recommend them for any size project.

Andy seemed nice enough; however, he didn't follow through in setting up an interview. When we did set up the appointment, he didn't show and didn't call to cancel.

Andy and his team went above and beyond on my remodel. The first meeting I had with Andy, rather than just 'taking an order' like a lot of other contractors had done, he guided me on what I could do to get the max bang for my buck. This was the reason I chose to work with Andy over the others--he was a partner rather than someone I hired. From choosing tile to fixtures to cabinets, etc. Andy and his guys were there every step of the way as a second set of eyes, and the work they did was high quality. My project consisted of floors, paint, removing a fireplace, widening some doorways, repairing pocket doors, 1.5 bathroom remodel, electrical, replacing a sewer line, and replacing gas lines. It was a big project and Andy and his guys not only handled it in a reasonable time frame, but they were able to stick to certain deadlines I had (ie being able to move in on a certain date). Aside from just the work that Andy and his guys do, Andy is very communicative, upfront and truthful, and overall a great guy to work with.

I have a handful of future projects planned and I'll absolutely be working with Andy again if I can get on his calendar, 10/10 and plan on working with him again.

Remodeling Townhouse in SF Mission - floors, walls, doors, etc

Andy and his team did a great job remodeling our 2br condo in the Mission area in San Francisco. We laid down new hardwood flooring, painted, and replaced doors.

Andy's team was on-time (started 8:30am sharp on the first Monday morning), responsive to feedback, and moved impressively fast to get the job done, finishing the job ahead of schedule and on budget. I was particularly happy with Andy's follow-up on the details; he was willing to come back and take care of the little things that came up (ie. paint touch ups, extra tiling work, etc). Would hire again.

    Considered for Condo Modifications

I didn't select Archeon because we chose a different GC but Andreas was highly professional, showed up on a Sunday when I told him I needed quotes asap on a Friday and I would absolutely consider him again because of his diligence and eagerness to meet new clients.

He came up with quotes for me within half an hour after the walkthrough (in fact, he didn't even leave, he just wrote it up in his truck outside my unit) and walked me through all the details and gave me pointers on details to look out for even if I didn't select him. He was in our final 2 GC choices but the other GC came in at half the quote price of Archeon and since this is a small project, we didn't end up choosing Archeon.

    Stair Repair
    21 days

We used Archeon Construction to do some repair work on our stairs. Andy was great with communication, his crew was professional and did an excellent job. The work was done on time and in budget. I've recommended Andy to others and he is now our go to contractor.

    exteriors project

Archean did a decent, but not great, job of replacing my front steps. After completion, they returned once and fixed several problems. But there were several remaining defects, including sloppy calming and landings that weren't draining properly. They promised to return to fix these, but didn't.
Their bid was very affordable, so I did not expect perfection. Also, they are very nice folks. I would recommend them for jobs where leaks and perfect finishes ar not a concern.

Trusses replaced in a Commercial Building
    16 days

I am writing to give a 5 star review to Andy Moussouras, General Contractor and owner of Archeon Construction. Andy has been my Contractor and Real Estate problem solver for over 15 years. Archeon has performed all phases of construction at multiple commercial, and residential properties for myself and my family. He has saved me a significant amount of money when we encounter laden, and hidden defects related to water dry rot damage and structural damage. Most recently he repaired a roof truss leak problem ($45,750 repair) to a commercial property I own in Petaluma, California. Andy has high integrity and always comes up with creative solutions to make all parties happy. I highly recommend him.

    Sincerely,
    Dennis Vozaitis

    Exterior wall siding repair
    Fantastic customer service

I'm writing this review strictly from a customer service perspective - Archeon did not actually do any work on my home, so I can't vouch for their work. However, I would recommend them wholeheartedly just from the interactions that I have had with their owner, Andy. I contacted Andy to get a quote on an exterior wall repair. He responded immediately, and was incredibly helpful. He visited my home the same day, and actually recommended a more inexpensive repair through another company because he thought that was a better solution to my problem. In the end we did go with the other option, but we ran into a permit dispute as we were starting the work. Andy to the rescue again - I contacted him out of the blue to ask for a letter confirming that our repair plan was a good one - and he delivered! This was just an act of pure kindness, with no possibility that it would benefit his business. Andy is a true gentleman who will never up-sell you. I hope I get to work with him again one day!

    Dry Rot Work
    $100,000
    50 days
    Dry Rot Issues

We hired Archeon Construction to evaluate the extent of dry rot
issues in a three story, two unit condominium. Upon inspection, Andy advised that it appeared that the cantilevers supporting two decks and interior ceilings had extensive dry rot and that dry rot was also evident around all of the windows and sliding glass doors on the rear of the building. We were appropriately advised that it was impossible to evaluate the extent of the problems and needed repairs without removing some of the siding to further evaluate the extent of the dry rot. Other contractors had provided unrealistically low fixed bids as a ploy to get the work likely knowing that there would be extensive change orders once the contract was signed. Andy was honest enough to tell us that there would be change orders based on the extent of the dry rot after removing the siding and determining if the cantilevers could be salvaged. He provided an hourly rate that was well below market rate for SF contractors. At each step of the process, he advised us about the damage and offered choices about how to repair. We had extensive damage and Andy and his crew, expertly replaced cantilevers, windows, siding, decks, etc. It was a major construction effort. Andy is experienced, professional, and offers excellent services and competitive pricing. His work is outstanding and I have recommended him many times to others who have been satisfied with his work, his price, and his affable personality.

Andy and his team were great! I called and needed a job done fast, like tomorrow fast (foaming and caulking of a gap between some walls). Andy made it happen. His team was professional and was able to work during our business hours without making a noise. The team's professional way of working was very much appreciated since our staff still needed to be working along side the construction happening that day!

Here are the reasons why I am giving ARCHEON CONSTRUCTION a very poor rating:

    - The owner/contractor is bad at communicating. He had to be told told multiple times to carry out the most basic tasks of cleaning up the work site. They were so messy with no respect for our house. We have a small child and they continually left dangerous scraps like screws nails and various other potentially harmful items in and around our area.

    - The workers broke items in our house. The owner did not take responsibility for this, and in fact argued and defected blame. This was a painful and arduous process getting bare bare minimum compensation for damages done to personal items.

    - The materials used are of the POOREST QUALITY.

    - The work itself is super SLOPPY and UNPROFESSIONAL.

******I WOULD NOT HIRE THEM AGAIN SOLELY BASED ON THE ABOVE MENTIONED ITEMS*****

Response from Archeon Construction November 30, 2016
I have never worked signed a contract of worked for this person. Andy
