This contractor added a bathroom on the first floor of our home. The addition is well done and attractive, and I have no complaints about the work on the bathroom. It took longer than I expected (almost 3 months), but the final project was worth the inconvenience. My problem with the contractor was with the other work performed: painting of my living and dining rooms (the bath was installed between the two rooms). The painter painted shutters closed, painted window panes, did a messy job on the trim, and got paint on the hardwood floors, carpet, and furniture. Carlos, the contractor, understood how upset I was about the painting and came back himself to correct the horrific job. He also was willing to correct various little details that I was not pleased about like poorly placed chair rails in dining room and uneven door frame. I was disappointed about the long list of things I was not pleased with; but would hire this contractor again because of his attitude. He was willing to work with me and come back and fix the flaws I found.
We got three estimates and Carlos’ bid was in the middle. We chose him because my husband liked his professionalism and demeanor.
I would use him again for other home improvement projects but never to paint.
