Purchased a new build nearly 3 years ago. Aside from a few minor issues my family is beyond thrilled with our home. Beyond thankful everyday.

""I worked with Matt and Austin on a project several years ago. Don't let the ""Christian"" video, tears and shots of family fool you. First, they aren't competent at their actual job. Their workmanship is sub-standard, and that is being generous. Second, they aren't honest individuals. They will say one thing and do another or even worse, lie to your face and tell you the answer they think that you want to hear and then do exactly the opposite once they have what they want, usually you money. How very ""Christian"" of them. I have learned that people that have to advertise their ""Christianity"" are usually the furthest thing from a Christian. Actions speak so much louder than words and these guys have none of it.
Avoid doing any business with these guys. Outward appearances might look good and wholesome but they are snakes."
I was excited to be building with Arise Homes at Legacy Crossing but it didn’t take long before issues arose. The windows being used were a much lower quality than the brand indicated on my signed purchase worksheet. The garage doors weren’t insulated, whereas my paperwork said that was standard. The HOA docs which I initially signed indicated trash/recycling were covered by the HOA and I was told the HVAC efficiency was 92%, whereas it was only 80%. The only thing they honored for me was the insulated garage door. Then the dryer vent was extended and vented out the roof in two different locations, instead of out the wall directly behind the dryer. Also two pieces of roof decking weren’t properly supported and someone had stepped though them, breaking them loose. The main issue was when the insulation was put up and the sheet rock delivered before the roof was put on. We then had that heavy 2 1/2 days of rain going into Labor Day weekend and everything was saturated. The roof went on the following Tue/Wed but the unsupported decking wasn’t fixed. I was told the damaged insulation had been replaced Thur but that evening I still found saturated insulation draining into the framing, which had now been absorbing moisture for 7 days. I left messages with both the office and the owner asking that we not move forward until everyone was comfortable. I drove out there to find someone to talk to the following day after not hearing back from anyone. My heart sank to find them almost finished hanging the sheet rock. Needless to say, the contract was canceled. "
Here is my experience with Arise Homes! I moved into my home with cracks everywhere,my driveway, garage, patio and porch! I have had no heat in my house because I only have two cold air returns in the whole house (they next to other) and not enough vents to heat it! I had frozen pipes for five days, I called Arise, they said they would send Miller Plumbing out and called two days later and never saw anyone! My house wasn’t even four months old! I could not walk on my sod,let alone mow it! Most pitiful yard ever! I have had to have my garage door fixed five times! There was no silicone caulking around my bath tub sinks not anywhere! I have all brushed nickel in my house and my shower door was rose gold! They also did no caulking outside of the house! We wanted to put a ceiling fan up in patio and the light was hanging by one wire not even connected to the box itself! Austin said it was ready for a fan! Not likely! When moved in, I vacuumed the next day and my carpet all came up,all of it in every room! We had to move all the furniture out of every room to have it restretched and cut! Not one person from Arise came to help or over see anything! They delivered a microwave and dishwasher even though they knew I purchased my own and they are still sitting in my garage! Of seven people I met on my street, not one of them are happy with their homes! One problem after another! Arise homes should take care of these before building 125 plus homes!! They get their money and they are gone! Austin or Matt will return no calls, period! They are crooks, thieves, liars and are despicable people! Take a minute and read about the city of Shawnee sueing Matt Mabe for building a home on his property with no building permit! What kind of contractor is that? Please think a long time before you buy from Arise Homes! Michelle Llanigan " -

I have been in my Arise Home for 5 months and absolutely love it. Arise builds a nice quality home at an affordable price - especially when you are trying to find a home in Johnson County that offers 1 level living. They have a top notch staff that has been quick to respond to any questions or concerns I've had throughout the entire building process. I highly recommend Arise Homes.

We purchased a home from Arise in late fall and moved into the home a little over a month ago. We have been so happy with the house and the Arise Team particularly Marlene and Danny who have always been fantastic to work with. As with all new homes, there are minor things that have to be revisited but they have always been responsive and working to get the items resolved. They are true professionals and we love the neighborhood. Would highly recommend. The value of the home in this quiet neighborhood and the team at Arise are fantastic.

We have lived in our Arise Home for going on three years. We couldn’t be happier with it. We find the quality to be good. They do the little extras that we appreciate like crown molding, sprinkler system, etc.

Arise homes was great! They are very professional and the homes are reasonably priced. The team is easy to work with and they took good care of all of our home needs and addressed our concerns, if any. I would definitely recommend Arise.

We have had a good experience with Marlene in the front office as well as the foreman, Jared. While the houses are very affordable for the area you get what you pay for in quality. Our finishes were rushed, lacked attention to details and have required the warranty team (who has been helpful) to come out multiple times. We have been disappointed in what was promised compared to what was received - which has been hard for us to say. This is our second home built and the quality difference in homes is significant. They are a subdivision developer not a semi custom home builder which is something to be aware of. While the team is nice they need to focus on final details of a home prior to a buyers move in and that starts with finding people and teams that provide quality work.

Arise builds beautiful quality homes for a reasonable price. We purchased one of their homes that was already in the process of being built. So happy we did. The finished product is a home you can be proud to own. They was amazing to work with and we feel blessed to spend the rest of our life’s in one of their homes.

My experience with Arise has been nothing short of a nightmare from the moment I closed on my home. Despite promises of quality service and attention to detail, Arise Homes has proven to be utterly incompetent and unresponsive.
Firstly, let's talk about the 11-month walkthrough. Despite multiple calls, emails, and texts over the course of seven months, Arise Homes failed to conduct the promised inspection. This blatant disregard for their responsibilities as a homebuilder is unacceptable. It's clear that once they had my money, they couldn't care less about honoring their commitments.
But the lack of a walkthrough is just the tip of the iceberg. The issues with my home were numerous The sprinkler system, for instance, is a disaster. Not only is the pressure abysmally low, but the zone coverage is also laughable. Trying to get them to address this issue has been like pulling teeth – they simply don't seem to care.
And don't even get me started on the other problems I’ve encountered. The carpet installation was botched, with pad seams coming apart and uneven stretching throughout the house. The garage door portal is a twisted and needs to be replaced. And let's not forget about the handful of masonry brick repairs that were promised but never delivered.
Arise Homes has shown a shocking lack of accountability and professionalism. They have taken my hard-earned money and delivered nothing but headaches and frustration in return. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this disgraceful company.
Their favorite line is “You’re out of warranty” which is easy to say when they refuse to do the 11 month walks, respond to text messages or emails. When all of your warranty requests are submitted through the portal on time.
