    Armando Castro Construction – a Class Act for kitchens and bathrooms!
    I just remodeled two bathrooms and had the pleasure of working with Armando Castro Construction for bathroom #2. After a less than positive experience with contractor #1, I was referred to Armando Castro Construction by neighbors and friends. Night and Day! From start to finish it my project was completed with excellent communication, expertise and precision. He has a team of contractors for plumbing, electrical, tile, painting or sheetrock to complete the work for their specialty. He understands the need to have trained professionals as part of his team and completed my total remodel within the timeframe given. I was kept informed of the progress step by step and the results are gorgeous. Armando is a Class Act and such a wonderful, delightful person. Highly, highly recommend this contractor! His specialty are bathrooms and kitchens….

    Remodel and add second story

    We disagree slightly with the other reviewers only because we think the reviews were too nice! Armando Castro Construction is much worse than described. 18 months after our "6 month" remodel project commenced, Armando Castro abandoned our project in complete disarray. After they abandoned my project, I had numerous subs show up looking for payment- I paid the construction company and received waivers, but they did not pay their subs!
    There is not a single thing in our house that they did right. They went through four different tile subcontractors because each one messed up horribly and cost me thousands of dollars in wasted materials. I had to hire a new tile contractor and spend well over $11,000 just in labor to fix his mistakes. Similarly, his electrical sub "Cesar" ruined all of the electrical in our house, and left many things incomplete. For instance, there was no outlet for the refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, etc. All of the wiring under my house was left exposed and a fire hazard, light switches were crossed and turned on lights in other rooms, the electric panel was put together using illegal and outdated fuses that blew and burned our panel box, HDMI outlets were installed but the cables I bought were not actually ran in the walls (the cables were left in a box in the garage). I have had to hire a new electrician and pay more than $10k to tear open all of my walls and wire everything correctly. They left chunks of cement and garbage in my yard, broke my sprinklers and flowerbed bricks, broke and damaged numerous brand new doors, ruined my gutters, etc. The list is much too long for here. They don't return calls or emails and the few times that they do, they just lie and tell you what you want to hear. Although they seem nice to your face, do not believe a word they say- it is all false promises!

    I wanted to provide an update to our review above from Oct 2017. We are completely stuck and having to deal with this useless company. Armando Castro is absolutely the most nighmarish contractor that we have ever come in contact with. Their lack of honesty, their completely disregard to their customers, and their utterly unprofessional ways are the reasons why their license should actually be revoked. We really wish that the Contractor State License Board is involved and rips them off their contractors license. We will be working very hard in the next 2-4 months to make sure we can do that for them.

    I agree with the above reviewer. We have had an absolutely nightmarish experience working with Armando Castro and their construction company. They completely disappeared from our job for 2 months and didn't return any phone calls or texts or emails. Stay away from them. License number- 900008

    Building a new residence

    We have had the most terrible experience working with Armando Castro Construction. We would give them minus several stars if we could but the lowest we can select here is one star so we need to go with that. We got into a contract with them to build our new dream home in Fremont in June 2016. They agreed to a 6 month timeline. We also added a 3 month grace period to this contract keeping in mind some delays that might be caused by seasonal issues etc. It is now close to a year and half (19 months) and the contractor is harassing us and not finishing work as per the contract. The bank and we have been on top of our game with giving them money and funding whenever needed but they have been dropping the ball a LOT. It has been an absolutely nightmare even trying to communicate with the father and son team. They are rude, irresponsive, and above all ignore our calls, texts, and voicemail pleas for helping us. We have sold our current home and have two small kids in elementary school. We are under an immense amount of stress, tension, and financial burden because of the absolutely terrifying experience with Armando Construction. If you value your family, your health and want to have a real house built, stay miles away from these guys. In the last 5 months, there have been several days on end (7-10 days at a stretch) that they don't do any work. It is moving so slow and at this point looks like they have entirely stopped working. We are now thinking of and preparing to fire them. We see no way in which we can get our dream home built through this unprofessional company.
