Asia Tail brings over 20 years of experience in the art sector to her work in Tacoma, WA. A Tacoma native and citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, Asia founded the Tacoma Art Museum’s Contemporary Native Voices project and actively collaborates with tribal organizations throughout Washington State. She earned a BFA with a prize for Excellence in Painting from the Cooper Union School of Art in New York. Asia’s background also includes work as a Museum Ambassador at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. With deep roots in Tacoma and a focus on projects promoting Native voices and western American art, she continues to develop artwork and initiatives that reflect both local and indigenous perspectives.
