We hired ASAP Home Repair to remodel our home. He bid low and he provided us with a Certificate of Insurance to prove he had insurance. After contracting with ASAP Home Repair, we found out (a little too late) that ASAP Home Repair hired a non-licensed sub-contractor with a criminal background to come into our home to install a brand new HVAC unit. Needless to say, we had to pay a large down payment to cover the cost of the unit and labor, we found out later we had mismatched units, and the work was never completed. The owner Gary Mallinson swore the subcontractor was licensed and that he was licensed as well to do any electrical work. Both ASAP Home Repair and so called sub-contractor caused damage to the home and didn't take any responsibility to refund our money or to get someone who was licensed to do the work. The insurance he provided denied our claim due to the lack of information ASAP Home Repair provided the company about his sub-contractor and both not acquiring a license to install HVAC and or any electrical work associated. Do yourself the favor and DO NOT hire Gary Mallinson with ASAP Home Repair to do any work on your home or business.
