  Elvis Lee from ASAR Roofing is a fraud who performs shoddy work, tries to charge extra for the same work, takes far longer to finish than agreed to in the contract, doesn't show up for days and days, doesn't respond to phone calls or text messages for days, leaves garbage on the work property and that of the neighbors properties for days, hires unqualified workers, hires workers who smoke marijuana on the job while on a scaffold, threatens with violence, damages the property on purpose and calling the city to file false complaints.

  Here's a summary of my experience:
  1. Took 25 days beyond what he offered and agreed to in the contract as the deadline.
  2. Failed to show up to work for days and days.
  3. Failed to communicate proactively that he wouldn’t be working on a specific day.
  4. Failed to answer my calls and texts asking when he would be coming to work.
  5. Provided shoddy work as observed by the House Inspector.
  6. Tried to charge for extras that were already part of the contract.
  7. Did “extra” work without permission or agreement and then threatened to undo the work if not agreed to an additional fee.
  8. Failed to provide a reasonable amount of time to conduct inspection and receive the report of the inspection to check against the work done.
  9. Demanded payment within an hour (after being late 25 days to finish his own work) and when unable to comply with his demand, he threatened to call Bldg Department, Better Business Bureau even though he was the business doing wrong to me as the client, he called my real estate broker even though this was unrelated to my real estate work, left me negative Google Reviews on my real estate and notary pages (even though this was unrelated to both and I provided him free notary service)
  10. Vandalized my property and nailed siding to my roof, damaging the roof as well as breaking the window.
  11. Often shouts and screams foul language when you question him or confront him.

  HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK. VERY UNHAPPY WITH ELVIS HAROLD LEE. After finding him in Angie's list and reading his reviews I decided to give him a call. Heard how he spoke about being honest, hard worker, attention to detail, etc. I decided to Hired Elvis on 6/9/18 to do all this work on my house in New Rochelle (Westchester County) which included, replacement of roof, window replacement, siding replacement, porch replacement, gutter replacement, etc. It was a big job. I gave a check for 1/2 the amount as stated on the agreement. He came back the next day and said if I can give him cash, because he deposited the check, but will not clear for a few days and he needed the money to purchase the material and get started on the job and he would give me back my money once the check cleared in his account. HE IS A SMOOTH TALKER, so I stupidly agreed to it. He never started at my house and never came back to give me my money back. I called him in-numerous times, left him voice mails, emails, texts, everything to get the work done at my house and avoid having to bring him to court and nothing, PROMISES, PROMISES AND EXCUSES EXCUSES. On 11/2/18 I decided to file a complaint with the Department of Consumer Protection in White Plains. Complaint File # is CPI201852913, Inspector Bogren was assigned to my case and has been working hard to get Elvis to complete the work, since the inspector has the power to revoke his license # WC-30398-H18, I also have filed court papers with New Rochelle City Court, but I put the court papers on hold. He is now 80% completed and doing a great job, but always has money issues. I have given him extra work help him out, but he is not moving fast enough, will be putting any extra work on hold. I just want him to be finished with the agreement work I gave him on 6/9/18. It is a long time, but since it is a rental property, I am not in that big of a rush. I was helping Elvis out by having my last review removed, but since the work is not completed and I have not heard from him for weeks now, I have decided to write this review back up until my house is completed and I am happy and the inspector from the Department of Consumer Protection closes the case.
