    My wife and I posted a full kitchen remodel project on buildzoom.com and Jose was one of the contractors that responded to our submission. We were immediately impressed when he wanted to view the job site before speaking to cost, and he spent a significant amount of time providing a detailed quote that was both fair and thorough. The references he provided couldn't stop raving about his professionalism, work ethic and the fact he cleaned up after every day on the job, and they were all spot on... that is exactly what we experienced as well.

    Aside from being a pleasure to do business with, the quality of his work was excellent as well. Too often you hear horror stories of crooked contractors, vastly exceeded estimates, or shoddy work, but we had the exact opposite experience with Jose. We couldn't recommend him enough, and we are very happy with our new kitchen.

    I was referred to and then contracted with Jose Luis Ascencio to upgrade my kitchen. This project involved demolition of tile floors, tile backsplash, & tile countertops. We were not replacing the cabinets but did have two additional cabinets constructed, one of which was a wine rack. The existing cabinets were to be lacquered white over oak. We did not replace appliances but did install a new sink and he performed additional electrical work, i.e., lighting, outlets, etc. After discussing the scope of the job he promptly provided me with an estimate. We agreed upon the cost and the payment schedule and the work commenced as planned. He provided some ideas with issues I had not even thought of, but not for the purpose of increasing costs. He was meticulous and prompt. He was here every day when scheduled and left the house "broom clean" at end of each day's work. Jose Luis is a talented artisan who takes great pride in his work. He completed the job in the time frame given and on budget. I recommend him without reservation.
