We had a number of projects completed by Derrel (Ashlock Construction). Derrel seems to be a nice guy but that does not make a good contractor.
Most projects needed additional work to get them up to even Darrel's standards after being performed. Cabinets that were pianted we coated in the wrong color, base boards were pulled up without being cut free resulting in damage to the walls, failure to remove wallpaper that they were paid to take down (textured over it and chaulked it to the ceiling), poor texture resulting in air bubbles which were not addressed. The list is not short and not fully enumerated above.
Several periods of failure to communicate with us for 1-2 weeks when work was in process (April 20-30th, May 30-June 19th, etc.)
Darrel picked up a final check promissing that the following Monday a crew would fix the final items. No call - no show. Have not been able to get any response from Derrel since August 30th.
We used Derrel based on recommendations from others, however, I cannot recommend him. My experience is that he is not honest with his customers.

Ashlock Construction remodeled our kitchen and both bathrooms! Derrel was very sweet and attentive. He pays a very close attention to detail. We are very happy with the finished product, and are excited to start our add on with Ashlock Construction next year!
