We bout a home from Ashlyn homes 8 months ago. Turned in a service request for our kitchen island that was stained, but barely has a coat of protective gloss on it, so you can scratch the stain off with a fingernail. You would think something very minor and cosmetic they would be more than happy to make it correct and finished the way it should be. Nope, once you buy and close you are thrown into the trash and they abandon the customer.
The response from the rude lady at Ashlyn homes was, those look like dog scratches. Well duh! Great work inspector Gadget. The point that was missed is that IT SHOULD NOT SCRATCH OFF WITH ANY NAIl, if it had the correct protective coats of gloss.
Then i ask for a list of paint colors, gloss finish, flooring, tile, grout, etc... And she just types in a few of them in the email. I mean let's not make a word document with all the selections and be professional or anything.
Then she writes in the email that our vent hood was supposed to be stained, now since they did not want to correct the island, i emailed back saying since the vent hood was missed and it was actually painted i want that fixed and stained.
Of course we have not heard from them since. So if they can't fix anything minor, you can guarantee they won't fix anything major.Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere.

I would discourage anyone from buy a home from Ashlyn Homes. They build very beautiful homes. However, there are 37 residents inside Spring Meadow Estates that was build by AH. There are 30 of us who have had multiple issues and have reported them prior to the 1 year warranty expiring and yet they have not been resolved. I have called, texted, emailed, etc and rarely get a response. The warranty bond is useless. This builder uses substandard contractors. The concrete work is absolutely horrible. We are all questioning the integrity of our foundations now.

If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I want to start by saying we “THOUGHT” we were building our “FOREVER DREAM HOME” when we decided to go with Ashlyn Homes to build our home from the ground up in Azle, Texas. They promised us the “BEST” and the end result was absolutely horrible. When you are spending nearly $500,000 for a brand new home you expect to walk into an almost perfect home. That WAS NOT the case with us.
Ashlynn Homes has literally left my family homeless and living in a camper due to their horrible build of what we thought was our “forever dream home.” We entrusted them [Ashlyn Homes] to build our home while still living our lives in Kentucky. Our closing date with Ashlynn Homes was scheduled to be August 11, 2021. We sold our home in Kentucky and closed on that home on August 9. Our “blue tape walk” was on Saturday, July 24. We were assured that the home was built to “Ashlyn Quality Standards.” My husband flew to do the “blue tape walk”…this is where he would walk the property and home to find anything minor that needed fixed. What he found upon arriving was completely UNACCEPTABLE. There was a list of items that were discovered during the walkthrough, which was not up to quality standards. Items like: concrete being poured incorrectly and already cracking, broken bricks on the home, mortar left on the driveway, foundation and on bricks, horrible painting inside and out, tile laid and cut incorrectly, different colors of grout used in the same room, leveling the yard in one area done incorrectly, a chunk of cedar was missing on one of the front posts, and the list goes on and on. Ashlyn plainly & firmly stated they WOULD NOT fix the concrete. They have also informed us they WOULD NOT be reimbursing us our total amount of expenses incurred due to their build. They have already “SOLD” our home….and are refusing to give us back what is owed to us.
To make this situation even worse, our 11 year old daughter has Cystic Fibrosis. We had changed her care center to Fort Worth and now she is in limbo due to not having a home. My husband is currently working in California and we are living in a camper because we have nowhere else to go.
Instead of Ashlyn Homes doing what is right, we are now in the middle of a lawsuit to recoup our money. They included a “stipulation” if we decide to “settle”….we have to sign a non disclosure form stating we would never say anything bad about them. We won’t lie if anyone asks how they were to work with.
I want others to be aware of how they “DO BUSINESS” so other hard working families don’t end up in a similar situation.
