Typical New Yorkers that think Floridans are easy targets, in my opinion. Did a walk and talk with Leslie. He gave estimate on a very vague hand written estimate without any square footage details. Job took 14 weeks, told me 3 weeks. Job finally completed, Leslie then sends Kevin to collect remaining balance. Leslie sold me on a stump being removed, I agreed. Stump did not get removed. Leslie sold me a 24 foot wide driveway 5 feet from property line, I got a 20 foot wide driveway 6 feet off property line. Leslie's excuse was he made the decision to follow houses foot print without any price reduction. Leslie promised low voltage lighting on handicap ramp, no lights ever made it. I added 4 - 4` columns charged $5700. Low voltage lights added $2000.00 on the 4 columns. I added 400 square feet of pavers, another $4700.00. Leslie Delivered 9 loads of top soil and spread the dirt out for another $6100.00 charge. Handicap ramp added $5700.00. No cost reductions for not doing what Leslie said he would do, stump removal, 24 foot wide driveway instead of the 20` I received. Original estimate $46,000.00 no reductions for less work. The add ons described above added another $23,000.00. When I disagreed Leslie threatens with a lien against my property and lawsuit. Lesson learned from this contractor, who by the way is a personal friend, get every detail in writing. Beware of good cop, bad cop behavior
