Mr. Pasternak seems like a genuine individual. However, I'm sorry to say that he took adavantage of my elderlydemented mother in the $40K+ purchase of solar panels that she didn't need while working for Atlantic Key. Please be aware that preying upon elderly people is a predatory act. He "helps" them to sign documentation on his tablet via Docusign and then uses his own email address so that customers don't receive a contract. Save yourself the grief and work with someone reputable. This person should be ashamed of himself, especially since he was told to leave my mother's house and didn't. Can't wait for karma to get you because YOU put yourself on the list. You reap what you sow!!!

Shingle removal and metal roof instal

We had a metal roof installed by In Motion Construction After they finished after first rain we started getting rain coming into Lanai. Now ceiling has a big bubble with water in it. Have called them and they say someone is coming but no one ever shows. Now they never answer calls. Called one guy several times named Sean and he wouldn't answer. Then called from a different number and he answered right away. Giving them a few more days to respond and fix issues, if nothing, then it's time for litigation.

    Install new roof
    $28,000

Had a great experience working with the personnel from Atlantic Key Construction. They adjusted to meet last minute times lines, kept in constant contact, and were extremely professional and courteous throughout the entire job from start to finish. The crew was friendly and worked hard through 100 degree plus temperatures to get the job done in a timely manner. Extremely happy with the end product and the experience.

I bought solar package from AKE, Atlantic Key Energy. I was told, “We can’t put solar on an old roof so we will replace your roof as part of the package.” They gave me an estimate that was “all inclusive”, which included a new roof, electric box, pool pump, etc. I signed the contract.

Atlantic Key Construction (AKC) then tore my roof off. Instead of stopping when the workers realized there was problem they continued to remove the rest of the roof. Then we met with AKE and AKC, and they proposed a different contract; ~ $6,000 more than the 1st contract. I refused to sign the new contract.

During this meeting, my original signed contract went missing. It was on the table when the meeting started, and missing after AKE/AKC left.

AKC put tarps on the roof. AKE/AKC then said they were coming to collect the materials that were holding down the tarps and replace them with sandbags. They didn’t bring sandbags and when they removed their materials, it caused leaks in several rooms, which now must be painted.

Because of the damage that AKC had done, the leaks, etc., I had a very hard time getting quotes for repairs. Not to mention the urgency of getting the roof repaired before there was additional water damage. It cost $13,000 to get my roof repaired, and that does not include the upcoming painting costs.

AKE/AKC are putting me in collections $6000. I don’t think I owe AKE/AKC any money - I think they owe me money.
    • They didn’t do an adequate inspection of the roof prior to signing contract.
o I signed the first contract, but not the second. They violated the first contract, and I refused to sign the second contract.
    • They didn’t stop the roof removal when they realized there was an issue.
    • Their negligence resulted in water damage.
    • Their practice is unethical:
o Advertising “all inclusive” knowing that they didn’t do a proper inspection.
o Taking the signed copy of the contract during the meeting and not providing a copy after it has been requested.
o Leaving the house/roof in a state that was known to be a leak risk.

    Solar Install
    $36,000

I was sold a System that was promised to cover enough solar generation for a full Year, The system was sized incorrectly, even the the Business Claims I have used more energy, this is a total falsehood, It was sized incorrectly and Told the Business the Panels need to Generate at leat 2100kwh/month due to the Summer and the fact that a pool will be eventually added....We never installed the Pool thankfully since the system isn't generating enough energy in the winter months to cover itself..there are ZERO SOLAR CREDITS created...I am now getting double billed by both FPL and my Solar Loan...I have been in contact with the Business for Months and NOTHING has been done, Gus who was my PM is now no longer with the company, I have no recourse
I request that the amount of Panels to be doubled at Business' Cost, not Mine
