    Hi,

    I would definitely avoid Atr landscaping. Pedro has had me running in circles for a month now without giving a formalized quote for the landscaping project. He can say no if he doesn't want to take my project, but he keeps saying he s still writing up the proposal. It's been a month to write up a proposal for a sod install for about 200 sqft. This is absurd. Finally he has stopped responding to my messages now. This is very unprofessional.

    Hello Soudipta, Sorry for late response but I haven't been to this site for I think about three years now. Also, I'm not sure if you have the correct contractor. A simple bid for installing 200 sq. ft. would never take me a month. As a matter of fact, I would have just told you in person before leaving your property it would be $4 per sq. ft. just to install new sod. And, $7 per sq. ft. to remove any existing grass, weeds, etc. Plus install new sod. In Addition, most customers need sprinklers tuned or replaced before installation. I would have mentioned I charge $3.50 per sq. ft. to install new sprinklers, with timer. And, $2 per sq. ft. to tune up existing sprinkler system. Or will charge T & M depending current state of system. And, if you would have agreed than I would have emailed you a formal proposal for said work the next day. I know this issue is a bit outdated however, if there is currently something I can help you with to help make up for this issue (weather it was me or not) just let me know. Will also provide 18% discount for total amount any work you might need on your property sir. Thanks, Pedro C.

    Retaining Walls project

    I believe I know just about everything that can go wrong with contractor, and so I was very hesitant to seek someone’s help to do another project on my backyard. However, Pedro from ATR Landscape Lic. #910974 did his job so flawlessly, that he was somehow able to restore my faith in contractors.
    He really started to impress me from day 1, when he showed up at 8am to start the job on Monday, after we approved his bid on Friday. His bid to put in a patterned retaining wall was the most reasonable, and I must admit I was skeptical. My pessimism turned out to be unfounded: Pedro stayed on budget, did not ask for any money upfront, ordered the right materials, took care of all the logistics; at the end provided itemized invoice with exact material and labor costs.
    He communicated timely and clearly by text if he was running late, or if he had questions and clarified his remarks with pictures. Before he would start doing anything he would make sure that he understood what we wanted. Once we understood each other, I did not have to stick around – Pedro showed up early every day and stayed long hours to keep up with the schedule he had set for himself. Moreover, he continued coming back every day, without interruptions, and working until the project was complete.
    Pedro certainly knows his trade and has very high work ethic. He was unsatisfied until there was a finished look, and the wall blended in with whatever was surrounding it. He was not satisfied until we were happy, listened to our wishes and quickly made minor tweaks as we requested them.
    One day, we had invited some guests in the evening and so I asked Pedro to finish work early that day. Not only he did that, but he had moved the materials and tools and made the backyard neat and clean, one would not even know that it was in the middle of the project.
    Judging by how many specialized tools he had brought in, I suspect he can do just about any landscaping job there is. I shall speak only for what he has done for me, which was a patterned retaining wall. My wall turned on to be done right (I can tell because I built one myself: drainage, levelled, interlocked blocks). It was done on budget, on schedule, 10-year warranty, looked just like we wanted – it was flawless. I would absolutely recommend him to anybody looking to do similar project. I know I will try to get his help on the next landscaping project.
