    House remodel

    We hired Russ to completely re-model our patio home. He was professional, thorough and always solved problems with a positive attitude. We would hire him again for future projects and would recommend him. They did a great job.

    First of all the job was supposed to be done by late August. It’s now October and still not finished. He submitted a low bid, but the estimate did not included everything we wanted done. Russ assured us it would be done, because he “factored it into the bid”.

    Fast forward to September, a month after he was supposed to be finished already, he’s asking for more money. We paid and thought it would be the end of it. We paid to paint our interior, he painted everything but the door and door frame. Wanted to nickel and dime us, asked us for an additional $900 just to paint the doors. I guess “interior painting” doesn’t include painting the doors??!

    Russ then submitted another bill to us at the end of September asking for more money, $150 to install a microwave, “extra flooring material” and now charging us things he promised was “factored into the original bid”. I got upset and snapped back at him telling him he was taking advantage of us. My wife felt bad so she paid. He ignored us, took his money left our key under the floor mat, presumably he’s not coming back to finish the job we paid him to do.
