Attic Control Inc Reviews

If I could give a negative 10 stars, I would. This is a professional-to- professional review. Please be sure to review all of the photos.

I own a local wildlife control business and contracted with Ron Jennings from Attic Control Inc. to do commercial insulation removal and retrofit on the ceiling of an industrial building that had been damaged by pigeons and a leaky roof. Since Ron had worked for me in the past and stated he could do this work after inspecting the damage, I trusted him.

The original estimate was not honored. I was charged nearly the full amount of removal and replacement for just the removal. I was then given another estimate for far more money, stating "he didn't know" that this installation required a different approach. That's his job, to know. It is also his job to perform work according to industry standards.

Ron ghosted me for weeks, regardless of how many times I tried to contact him. He finally started work far later than agreed upon.

I paid Ron in full when the work was completed. Not long after, a large piece of newly installed scrim barrier started falling out of the roof from in between the purlins. I contacted him and told him it had to be fixed. He again ghosted me for weeks and finally said he needed a different ladder. The one piece of the barrier was eventually reattached.

I was again contacted by the broker of this property, which is in escrow for $11.75 million, and was informed that more of the "new" work was falling down. Ron stated he'd be out the next week after numerous attempts to contact him. He was a no-show and again, was not replying to my text messages or phone calls.

Finally, after numerous messages, he stated he'd be out this past Saturday after stating again he needed "a different ladder." I'd trusted this man because he'd done work for me in the past. Saturday came and went. I did not hear from Ron. I asked if the work had been completed, and again, no reply.

I got a bad feeling, so I informed the broker I wanted to do a final walk-through, and traveled to the warehouse on Sunday.

Upon entering, I was horrified at what I found. The photos speak for themselves. I sent photos to Ron, told him he was fired and was forbidden from entering the property.

I contacted the broker, who in turn had no choice but to notify the owner of the property, as well as the buyer, not 48 hours before escrow was due to close.

This installation and the money taken is fraud.

There is insulation missing. The work is beyond unprofessional and is completely falling apart. Ron has refused to have any contact with me, but when I have had friends or family call him, he either answers the phone immediately or calls back and follows up with a text message. If I try to contact him? Crickets. Not a word.

I have been left with no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Contractor's State License Board, have demanded a full refund, and am in the process of taking other legal steps. My clients did not deserve this, and I didn't either. The stress of going through this has been astronomical, and I don't want to see someone else go through what I am.
