We had Mr. Ausmus put an addition on our pole barn which we planned for a tool room and a hobby room. We also had him add a bathroom on the other side of the pole barn. Mr. Ausmus was very pleasant to work with and the tool room and hobby room addition went fairly smoothly, however it leaks quite severely at the point where it was attached to the existing building. We also had two light panels put in the ceiling and it leaks around one of those. Mr. Ausmus did come back to try to fix the leaks but was unsuccessful. The bathroom addition was a nightmare. Mr. Ausmus sub-contracted the work out and apparently did not discuss the plans that we wanted with that person. Very unprofessional and did nothing that I wanted done. I wanted all the pipes hidden and was told they would be. This person ran them all exposed on the inside walls of the bathroom. When I said something the sub-contractor said "What are you upset about, after all, it's just a pole barn." When I spoke to Mr. Ausmus he told me I should have explained it to the sub-contractor, I thought that was Mr. Ausmus' position to do this. Mr. Ausmus and I came to a solution to the error, however he never carried through. I would not recommend Mr. Ausmus as a contractor.
I am thrilled to have what I have, but I am not pleased with the work.
