They took our deposit on a boat lift, dock and roof over a year ago. We called multiple times and they always made excuses why not started yet, told us permit was in, it’s not. After multiple delays we asked for our money back, they said we couldn’t have it had to wait for them to do work. Made multiple attempts to call, no callbacks/ visits to office, no progress. After office locked up we went to their worksite office, left our name & number., no callback. It’s been over a year and this company is now on the news for bilking many people out of their money and not doing any work. They don’t deserve the one star this sight makes you give to submit review!

So far I guess I’m not the only one they have taken money from. I will be filing a police report and BBB report along with taking legal action. If anyone else is interested in assisting me with other reports of theft please contact me at 727-808-2854

Provided a deposit on 6/21 for dock and lift (50% deposit). No work done and no communication for a month. We will be pursuing legal action.

I signed up with AVCO Marine Construction in a November of 2021. Since I gave them a deposit they have not done any work. In May of 2022 they closed their office and do not answer the phones. They do not communicate and have refused to do my job after sending them a demand letter according to F.s.s 489.126 (http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0400-0499/0489/Sections/0489.126.html).
Rumors have circulated they were filings bankruptcy and fired a bunch of employees. I now see they are selling there equipment on Facebook.
Recommend if anyone has issues company to file a complaint with Pasco Sheriffs Office and Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

I gave Avco a large deposit (50% down) on boat lift work & permanent dock construction in July of 2021. No work has ever commenced and Avco refuses to return emails, texts, phone calls or acknowledge my requests for a refund. Sales office is gated and always closed. Beware!

Contracted and deposit made 7/7/2021. No work and no communication unless multiple emails or phone calls made. Horrible customer service! Original completion date given of November 2021. Old dock removed, so no dock since then. Very disappointed so far.

When it comes to construction believe me I know what’s to be expected when the job is finished. AVCO Marine Construction gave me the results I expected . They built me and installed a deck and boat lift in a timely matter giving me just what I wanted, and by the way the price was very competitive compared to 2 other lift companies I got quotes from. Paid AVCO Marine Construction to install and new boat lift and jet ski lift. They never started the job and nine months later they have disappeared with our money. Apparently we are not alone. Hired another company to do the job. It appears that as of the writing of this review, the owner of AVCO Marine may have multiple companies and may currently be under investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies. Buyer beware.
