Brad refused to provide a quote before showing up to the site to check it out, but also insisted on doing the work the same day he looked at the job. He and his laborer showed up to the site with another person, when that was never discussed beforehand. Brad quoted me $40/hr for himself and the surprise contractor, and $35/hr for the laborer, then billed me for $48 for everybody. They charged $48/hr to eat both breakfast and lunch before noon, didn't listen to my instructions and ended up needing more materials then billed me for it, asked to borrow my wife's hair dryer and then melted it, didn't take any of their trash or debris with them. After raising concerns about the price being different for what they quoted me, they agreed to lower the price to the agreed upon amount. Their invoices or statements aren't even official and are sent via text message. And, all they did was strike the laborer from the bill and have no intentions on paying him for the 7 hours he was on-site helping them. DO NOT TRUST THESE SHADY OLD CROOKS

Brad and Bruce Avery are crooks who take advantage of single women who need work done. My neighbor had some electrical done in her basement so I asked them to give me a bid for installing a stove outlet in my basement. Bruce came over with his “electrician,” Doug Maxfield, who I found out was not licensed but thought working under his brother, who is, is ok. It’s not. They told me it would be $60 an hour but wouldn’t tell me how many hours it would take. That should’ve been my red flag but I needed it done ASAP. Three days and 17 hours later Doug told me it would be $1020 plus $116 for materials. I talked him down to $900 but later canceled the check and talked to the Avery brothers who saw no problem with that amount. Doug threatened lawsuits and liens on my home if I didn’t pay. Beware of these shady crooks and their open ended bids. They are NOT licensed and will take complete advantage.
