Supposedly was the only one in the area that would level the concrete in my house before a tile installation. Not personable at all. Showed up the first time saying he would charge me $300. Didn't finish the job to where the flooring crew could lay the tile, so we had to wait 3 more days for him to come back. I told him when he originally got there that ran out of plastic sheeting for covering furniture so I would move it out of the way when he was close to that section..I had to stay outside because of the gasoline smell and he never let us know, so when he left, some of my furniture was splattered. My husband also had to get HIS wet/dry vac out to finish cleaning up puddles.
Second day, I explained to him and showed him what the flooring crew required. My husband checked his work and was satisfied but he wanted another $200. While my husband went to get money, I asked him if he normally charged by the hour and he said yes, normally, that would have been a $500 job. Would have been nice to know that BEFORE he started working!
He gave me NO warning that there would be an overpowering gasoline smell. Having to keep my cats in my bathroom and trying to seal off doors with towels and open all the windows to try to breathe was horrendous. My A/C was off and it went right through the vents because it was so strong! I had no knowledge of any of this prior to the work being started because it NEVER WAS MENTIONED. NOTHING WAS. Oh, and the second time my husband had to vacuum up more puddles.
Unprofessional and sloppy. Never again!
