I hired B & A Plumbing (718-365-1625) to do the job, and they gave me the engineer's name. B&A were going to convert my boiler (for steam radiators) from oil to gas.Unfortunately, the previous owner installed a second gas water heater for a 1st floor hair salon, without a permit. Previously, there was one gas hot water heater for the 2nd floor apartments only.Before B&A could do the large oil to gas boiler conversion, I had to legalize the second water heater. If you're looking for a Bronx plumber, I've found B&A to be quite good. Not the absolute cheapest, but they do very good work. They also put in digital boiler controls (Tekmar) for me in the Bronx and Yonkers.
