    I hired B-squared for a bathroom repair/remodel job.

    (1) When I noticed and pointed out their tile work was not done up to code, they denied the problem existed, refused to redo the work up to code, lied that the issue was localized to a small area (it was the entire thing), all while gaslighting and screaming at me over the phone and in person. Specific issue was that the spot bonding method was used to install the tile, leaving large voids underneath, minimal coverage (30-40%, not even close to the 95% required by code), and making the tile prone to cracking or coming loose (which happened within a couple weeks). Also, large gaps were present in the backer board, which is supposed to be waterproof to prevent mold in the walls.

    (2) They didn't pull the permits as was required by our contract, leaving me to deal with sorting out the unpermitted plumbing and electrical work.

    (3) Upon further inspection, that work also had serious issues. The toilet base was installed without any wax seal, leaking into the floor and allowing toxic sewer gases to escape and make me sick. Neither the toilet base nor the toilet itself were anchored down with the hardware they came with. The toilet was simply caulked down onto the floor tile, screw holes left empty. The new electrical circuit hadn't even been hooked up to the breaker box. No nail plates. Rusty iron fitting for the shower handset. Shower head not secured to the plank behind (said plank was shattered and covered up). Shower fixtures not sealed against the tile surface, allowing water to penetrate into the wall.

    The work they did was a hack job at every level. I'm still assessing the total amount it'll cost me to fix it all, but it's already added up to well over the original cost of the contract. Meanwhile I'm stuck continuing to live in in airbnbs and friends' homes while my bathroom is unusable.

    Bathroom Remodel project

    B Squared Construction did a great job on my Master Bathroom Remodel. There were issues with the tile installer who was a sub contractor but they fixed most of the issues and made it right by me. I would recommend them to anyone looking to do any remodels within their home. The guys on his crew: Ernesto and Edgar were so professional, worked clean, organized, communicated very quickly and reliable.
