I had a terrible experience with Bacca Pool and Electric. I hired Ben and his wife Donna to build our pool and spa. When we first met Ben he was very likable and agreeable with building everything we wanted. I should have known better when he was verbally agreeing to everything and not writing it in on the contract. I made the mistake of trusting them to be honest in the process. On day one of the build I knew it was a problem with Ben was not actually at my house. I paid them on time each step of the way and then the subcontractors were not getting paid. Three of the 4 subcontractors were 30-60days past due for the payment so we were receiving certified letters about a lien being put on our house. When I tried to call or communicate with Ben and Donna they completely ignored my calls. They also gave us pool construction phases that were from Sundancer Pools but it had Ben and Donna's logo on the top. The coping stage was done by Ben and another worker he hired. Ben even painted it with his son-in-law and then everyone was shocked to see it all as the final product. Ben later admitted that the cement wasn't mixed right and that's what caused the hundreds of cracks and irregular shape. We had to have numerous discussion with them to hire another company to fix the entire job Ben had done before they would actually hire someone to fix it. They ended up finding Stonescapes and he covered up all of Ben's work and made the coping beautiful. In my opinion, Ben's work that Donna was also satisfied with was done very fast and sloppy. I don't think they take pride in doing a job well. They also have 4 violations on their license with the state contractors licensing board and I plan to add another one. I hope to save someone else from making the same mistakes we did when choosing Bacca Pool and Electric.
