Hired Back Door Construction in April of 2023 for a 960sq/ft simple addition. Work started in May that year. Just had to terminate the contract 23 months later as the job is only 60% complete and 90% paid. Contractor is grossly in breach of the contract and refuses to return to complete already paid work. Permitting for plumbing and electrical are from contractors that have never been involved in the project and are just "lending" this contractor their name/license. The work quality is incredibly poor, from a porch that is not built to the plan (4' too short with an improperly framed roof and untreated posts sitting directly on the slab with no post base and they're already water damaged) to a sliding glass door installed "bowed" and barely operable. I had to go through an official complaint with CID when the roof blew off the SECOND time in April of 2024. Spent two summers and two winters living behind a sheet of plastic to an uninsulated addition. Avoid at all costs.
