Builder didn’t remove dangerous tree branches left when clearing my land, which have already began falling on my roof. Branches belong to a tree located next to the perimeter of my property on a vacant lot side, but which are (dangerously) directly over the roof of the new they house sold me. They have begun breaking and falling on top of my house. I closed this mortgage loan less than 2 months ago. When I wrote Bakan Homes to notify about the dangerous situation I sent pictures. They replied, refusing to resolve or take responsibility for their carelessness. They wrote that the tree belongs to the neighbor, and that it was my responsibility, not theirs to take care of the situation. They willingly, intentionally, carelessly, and unethically disregarded the removal of dangerous branches prior to the sale of the home. And irresponsibly passed the buck once the buyer noticed, without regard or remorse. Buyers beware, don’t forget to inspect the homes you buy from this builder for trees and branches which will damage your home. Bakan Homes refuses to assume responsibility and doesn’t care about the damages associated, which their carelessness will cause to yourself. They just want to sell. To add danger to this imminent perilous situation, the tree companies are busy because of hurricane season. My house and the lives of my family are in immediate danger for the next 4 weeks until the tree removal company can accommodate these branch removals on their schedule. Needless to mention the thousands of dollars I have to come up with. The lack of ethics and refusal of assumption of responsibility of this builder in this case are astounding. Will also post this in social media platforms , notify the Veterans Administration who guaranteed my loan, as well as elsewhere I can find to post reviews.
