Had this company put a new roof on my house between 9-19/10-19. I had some questions about the look of the finished roof. And the shingles not lining up or laying flush.in other words there were gaps in the underside of the shingles.also these were structural shingles ,so the have built in channels that I now know are supposed to form channels for drainage.I also had questions about the flashing around the chimney and the upper bedroom corners. I don't know anything about roofing. So I took the owner at his word, that the heat from the summer sun would soften the shingles and the gaps and irregularities would disappear. My loan was supervised by Baltimore county, they approved the work and the contractor was paid. Even as time went by,summer, then fall, winter and summer again came.there was no change in the appearance of the roof. On may of this year ( 2021) my kitchen ceiling started leaking in 3 different spots when it rained.the next day I looked at the roof and there were shingles that had separated from other shingles, leaving gaps.I made a call to the contractor and was a little frustrated, as all the work they did to my house had to be redone. 11 days went by and I sent an email. The contractor sent the same employees that installed the roof. I showed them the kitchen leaks and the separating shingles.after 15 min.of excuses the worker went up on the roof and re affixed the shingles.June comes and now I have 4 leaks.to make a long story short. Now no fix because of warrantee but for another $4-500 he'll fix it.this roof is less than 2 years old, there should be no leaks, none.why would I have him do any more work on my house. He doesn't stand behind his work. I cannot post my pictures using this device. But I will re do this review again tomorrow and post my pictures. Then see what you think.
Thanks for hearing me out.pictures have been sent to the BBC today and Baltimore county 2 days ago
